Buffs and nerfs from brawlers and lancers
So this has been something that's been on my mind for some time now. How lots of people think brawler's Dps should be mad nerfed. Recently knowing Lancer has been getting buffed more I had something to say about that, now hear me out this is how I view a Lancer and Brawler and I am here to say my opinion and also hear rest of your guy's opInion on this also.
Now I just want to say that I main Mystic and got a Brawler 65 so I do have knowledge on the class. Let me explain the way I see things between these two tanks. I feel that brawler was meant to DPS and tank. Its a hybrid yes? The stats say this also on the preview of the class. Maxed out offense and close to Max defense. My question is though why do they buff lancer ? Lancer wasn't meant to have high offense from the start. It clearly says it on the stats of the class when picking out your character. Cant they just buff the defense even more so they have a more likely chance of not dying than to brawlers? Idk seems like it'd make more sense to me but what do you guys think? Also the nerfs to brawlers....lots will be triggered by this but...they don't need nerfing on their damage. I personally believe the skills brawler has are the issue. Ground pounder, rampage, juggling others in the air for so long. Don't get me wrong I love beating up monsters with two giant metal fists, I just wish there was a better way to approach a fist class, something more creative than the skills it has now, I honestly feel like when I play brawler I recycle soooo mannnyyy moveeesss over and over I feel like I can't really add my own skills to it but idk. Sometimes I feel some nerfs or buffs aren't TOO necessary but what do you guys think? Agree or no? Think lancers should just buff into pure brick and do you think brawler skills are mainly the problem to brawlers?

While true lancer is more of a defense, it seriously did need a damage buff. The aggro system was changed to a more dps style so in order to favor this, this is why lancer class got the 50 percent buff to boss monsters and other things. If you want to make lancer get poop dps again, they would have to do the same to brawler and that would be no fun because of the current aggro system. The system would have to be reverted back to the old days and bring back eclipse. Don't think anyone would want to go back but I will admit I miss the old days of tanking. Someone like me and others who have endured tanking as lancer since 2014, I awaited these buffs for a very long time with patience and feel like its a big reward. IMO both classes take a good skill level to master and are fine the way are atm. I do think they should help with the aggro generation for brawler and maybe add another iframe or something.
Personally as another mystic main I loved it if the tank pulled the same or more dps than the actual dps because that just means faster runs to me, but I had a lot of DPS friends and even some lancer mains quit or at the very least complained when they saw a brawler because they couldn't do the same damage and felt that tanks should do less than DPS. So how did they go about this? Whine and whine until brawler was nerfed to the ground. Granted, most of the complaints were from PVP players who thought the brawler attacks and cc was just way too OP for pvp content (which I agree but I'm also not a PVP player so I didn't see much of it first hand)
As for lancers, it's kind of the same reason mystics were buffed to hell. Mystic is supposed to heal less than priest, but here you see now mystic's titanic favor (which has turned mystic into a good if not better-than-priest burst healer), buff to motes, and other QoL changes made mystics seem like a favored class over priests; to a point that some of my friends quit priest because they thought the buffs put priest's out of business.
It's just how ppl preferred brawlers, lancers then got a buff to keep up, and now they are more favored than Brawler ESPECIALLY with the brawler nerfs.
Personally I don't think the nerfs to brawler were needed in the slightest. The lancer buffs were more than needed but nerfing a class is never good, especially when it is multiple times. It discourages the people who have played and actually liked the class since the beginning. It's even worse that its a TANK they are nerfing since there seems to be a global problem with lack of tanks lmao... nerfing makes people quit their classes which sometimes is needed but in this case with the buffs to lancer, it was not.
But, the thing is, Brawler depends on GF too much. Some boss is harder to keep GF and some boss is really easy. And, later, keeping GF can be really annoying.
-Make it easier to keep up GF, through making it drain slightly slower (tbh not too much), increase rage gain by about 5-10% of its original values
OR
-Increase the amount of aggro and damage to be only slightly higher than Lancer (Lancer has better buffs, it doesn't need to have more average dps than Brawler) such that they can maintain aggro even without GF.
