Sorcs and IoD BAMs

Hi all, I recently rolled a new sorc with full +12 guile and I really liked the class. However when I try to do IoD BAMs (high and mid tier) with it, its just slow...

Any tips?

    By slow how much time do you mean? ~20 minutes total on giant/hydrath/naga set is about normal for +12 guile sorcerer.

    slow as in 10-15 minutes for each 10... so roughly 45 minutes for all giant/hydrath/naga set

    It's just rolls and rotations left now. It should take 6-10 minutes (depending on how lucky you are with keen motes and crits) to do each 10.
    For rotations, you want to maximize using fireblast and always use it from the backs.
    I start off with this:
    Stand behind the boss, miss arcane pulse (to trigger double crit glyph without catching aggro) -> fireblast -> hailstorm -> use as much as filler you can starting with those that do most damage.

    Then I move into the main rotations:
    When the first arcane pulse CD is about to end, (your fireblast CD should be ending just a little after too) backstep/ glacial retreat into the boss -> stun trap -> backstep/glacial retreat/ teleport behind the boss -> fully charged arcane pulse -> fireblast -> fillers fillers -> when fireblast CD is about to end -> backstep/glacial retreat/ teleport away -> mind blast to sleep the boss -> backstep/ teleport behind the boss -> miss arcane pulse (trigger double crit but don't wake up the boss) -> fireblast -> fillers until stun trap CD ends then repeat.

    A few tips:
    - Hailstorm and pain blast will do damage over time that will wake up the boss if you use sleep. Don't use hailstorm or painblast before you sleep the boss.
    - Don't be stingy with the rotation, make sure you use every fireblast and properly perform every set-up even if the boss is about to die, because a lot of times skills will not crit and it will be very frustrating to get stuck with a boss at 1% but none of your skills can crit to kill it.

    These tips are really good! Thanks! Especially on the one about missing arcane pulse to trigger the crit, never thought about it. Just tried it on Onyx Hydraths and managed to kill one under 1 min. 2 extra meteor strike crit makes a lot of difference!

    Sorc vm8 +15 (2 dragons + using slaying) taking approximatly 8-12 second per bam (generally they're dead when stun trap is over unless i'm really not criting anything)

    try to get more crit factor.
