Masterworking Guile Gear
So I just tried to Masterwork my +9 Brawler Weapon, and after over 206 tries, it still isn't masterworked. What the [filtered] is going on with this Guile RNG? My archer took about 20 tries to masterwork an Imperator bow, so this can't seriously be just a bad case of RNG. I spent over 5k on materials just to masterwork a freaking mid tier gear piece, and now I have to grind for all of my gold back, and grind another months worth of mats to do the same thing all over again. That should not happen, not with mid tier gear. Anyone else have any problems like that or is it just me?

Yes, I had 206 IIS and about 210 MES (both tier 10 and tierless combined).
Just mix them together ( a few mes, a few bes).
Well I only had one of those, and they go for about 300 gold a piece. I only had about 5.5k gold on my Brawler, so I didn't want to spend any gold in the first place, but did anyway. Now I only have about 28 gold.
For whatever reason changing channels seems to help. Sorry you had bad luck. It happens to everyone in one way or another.
ever thought of something called luck??
Ever wonder that maybe it IS just RNG? I could post video of me getting such luck (if only I record 'em) when I enchant one of my guile piece without fail to +11, but even then I know it's just "luck". So yes, your "theory" and is b u l l i s h.
UPDATE: Tried this theory out. I was successful. It took me
*drum roll*
6 tries.
6
[filtered]
tries.
So a total of 212 IIS and MES, and switching channels made me go from having to use 212 to 6.

The most likely explanation is that it's just RNG and switching channels was just a placebo to make it feel like you were changing something. But still... it's kind of amazing in its own way.
I would usually agree with you 100%, but after 212 tries in a row with no success....it really makes me question this system.
*puts on tinfoil hat*
It's likely a placebo effect, I'll give you that. But that doesn't explain why it just...works. Even if it is just making me feel better, it seems to make me feel better by enchanting / MW'ing gear noticeably faster
you didnt sacrifice enough cute elin
Not to mention that it not only seemed to work for you, but it also worked for me...

Well, it's my Brawler I'm upgrading, so I'm not able to obtain the powers of the Sacrificial Elin Goddess unfortunately.
