New player coming back, MT or TR?

I like to mostly PvE and really don't like open world PvP but I hear MT has a higher population. Is it much higher then TR? I already have a bunch of toons on TR and a maxed out bank and money but I feel like leveling so I will probably remake my lancer. Speaking of lancer, is their dps better? I was playing when brawler first came out and I found brawler to be WAY better then my lancer because they just killed stuff soooo fast where BAM's were a VERY slow slog for the lancer.

  • I always want to know why people need a high population. Do you really need 5000 people playing simultaneoulsy on your server? Nevermind.

A well played lancer may be better in damage than an average Brawler, from what I've seen. Of course the Brawler is easier to play. Since release, the Brawler has lost its superiority, some call it that Brawlers have been nerfed.
Acting as a tank, a lancer has way more support to offer to a party.
  • Ok, cool. Brawler used to be nuts when they first came out. I like high pop because I like talking to people and in my experience, when I'm on a lower pop server I find it hard to get people to talk to. I also found it harder to find a party for doing dungeons and such.

    1. TR don't have many LFG as before. Sometimes, there is 0 LFM.
    2. You need to shop active guild. That's more important. You can get nice guild buffs too.
    3. Keeping GF in last boss in rmhm/ lkhm can be really annonying. +15 Ambush lancer do good dps and less pressure than brawler. DPS like Lancer's team buff skills.

Lancer is easier to play than Brawler. I main Lancer with ping that people claim Lancer is trash tier in. Some of my Spring Attacks end up slow and bosses desync through me, as well as Onslaught desync occasionally. Yet, my Lancer is still superior to the over powered face roll class that can be played on 1,000 ping and plays itself, Brawler.

If BAMs were very slow as a Lancer, then nothing will change unless you play Lancer more. Lancer has always been just as good for killing BAMs since Brawler can't use GF reliably at IOD. As for server, either TR/MT is fine. MT is only better than TR if you're concerned about owpvp or their better pvp players that you most likely would never play with anyways. Either case, if you play any of the tanks you'll find getting groups easy since a lot of groups need tanks.
