Strongest to Weakest PvP character atm?

Hey guys, i know there has probably been a few threads like these but i can't seem to find them here on the forums.

Anyways before any bad comments appear, i'd just like to point out, no i am not trying to bandwagon onto something, i'm just looking for a decent class that isn't squishy and can deal damage. Also please don't mention brawler. (If possible, don't mention ninja, i dislike their playstyle.)

I'd appreciate it if you could make a list and why they should be good. (nothing too long or fancy) I was thinking of sorc/warrior/gunner.

I am also looking for something not extremely hard to play since i dislike complex classes, plus i forget things easily due to a health issue i have.

Anyways thanks for reading~ <3

Gunner is the easiest class on the game, it is also fun to play and feels strong (and it is strong, even with all the nerfs). Play Gunner if you want easy fun and not a complex class (since gunner only has the willpower meter and a few resets on her abilities, this makes her the least mechanically complex class in the whole game)

Sorcerer is good but you need quick fingers, I main Sorcerer and I feel like it is a medium-high complex class, using it is super easy, but making good combos with it and maintaining your mana pool on check makes it harder to sustain yourself, saying this, if you know how to Sorcerer you will have a great offensive class with some awesome defensive tactics, just be sure to have decent ping. (Warp Barrier and Stone Skin: Best Defensive Abilities in the Game)

Warrior is really complex and quick on your fingers, avoid it if you dislike complex classes or you have low ping, Warrior has a lot of interactions with some abilities and desyncing can be a pain when pvping, Warrior isn´t hard to use, but to master it, requires a bunch of understanding on the class and the ability to generate edge quickly.

    Other classes:
Archer: Less mobile than Gunner but strong. Choose it if you like Sniping, a good arrow can always kill a target and the traps it lays down are excellent in close quarters, just be wary, though, charging skills with Archer only to have you staggered and unable to move is the worst.

Berserker: Least mobile class on the game. Hits like a total truck, pick if you like a class that can seriously harm your enemies up close, although if you are fighting a ranged opponent... it can be hard to even catch them.

Lancer: Annoying and with a lot of CC, you can stay up close to your target and pound it all over with your shield and lance, doesn´t hit that hard but if you like to be in the thick of it, the Lancer is always there to pick enemies and hit them up close.

Reaper: Nice and fast, deals a crazy amount of damage from a medium range, although if you get caught... bid your character goodbye. It has a lot of staggers and escapes, so it is hard that it happens a lot on a fight, though.

Slayer: Requires a lot of finesse, but it is extremely fun and faster than Berserker, pick if you like a powerful class that can combo a lot.

Priest: Usual healer, if you are playing duo and you dont like to fight pick it, although it can be boring to solo with.

Mystic: Support that can summon Thralls and CC enemies, pick it up if you feel like fighting with thralls and stuff, it doesn´t deal a huge amount of damage unless your thrall of wrath hits so dont expect a trail of blood behind you. Although expect annoying your enemies by poisoning them or slowing them.

  • Gear & Player Skill are strongest-
  • So you say "that isn't squishy" but you list sorc as your first choice? What am I missing?
  • @GDSchr62 Well i mean, sure sorc are squishy but they are ranged. I'm mainly speaking "squishy" to classes like reaper, ninja, etc. Those who actually have to get close and die in 2 hits. Either way i kinda messed up with that, sorry. ;~;

    Have you even tried reaper?

strongest and most brainless pvp class? easy; reaper.

literally has so few skills that your keybinds won't be filled up, but it doesn't matter cause 99% of your skills are op af. the combos are the easiest or any class to learn (maybe aside from brawler...) and their damage is ridiculous. reaper has been a pvp monster since it's inception and i don't think that's ever changed.

I think it really depends on what type of PvP. Like, 20 vs. 20 is completely different than 1v1.
  • If you want an easy class for small scale PvP, they go like this in order of lowest skill to highest

    Warrior
    Brawler
    Gunner
    Archer
    Sorcerer
    Reaper
Berserker or Ninja (Ninja set up is more difficult but following up is much easier)
    Lancer
    Slayer

Healers take the top or bottom spot depending on amount of people. 3v3 healers at the bottom, 1v1 healers at the top, Mystic is easier than Priest for 1v1, and Priest is easier for mass PvP.
  • Gunner may be easy to play, but it's very hard to master, you will learn that in due time.
  • I'd say brawler is number 1 even with all those nerfs. warrior 2nd, reaper 3rd, lancer/zerker/slayer 4th, gunner/archer/sorc 5th, healers last.
  • Honestly? A strong class that's easy to learn and play? Reaper. Hands down. ESPECIALLY if you have low ping. (And they're pretty high ping friendly too, but only in mass pvp settings)

They don't "squish" too easily since their pvp defense was buffed. And with whipsaw and glyphed double shear giving you hp regen? Paired with some of the most broken iframes in the game? And shadow reaping?

They will tear your [filtered] open in any instance of pvp

  • "avoid it if you dislike complex classes or you have low ping"???
Nah man, its high ping not low ping, i have 260 - 330 ms and as a warrior in pvp, its hard since BD, Rising, Pounce and certain hits of RoB desyncs like hell x_x

I would like to ask, why is warrior the highest?

Also is it even good for CS?

Although i do get killed fast by warriors. :l

This is about skill floor, the easier a class is the higher it'll be on the list.

This game works off landing a set up ability and then following it up with damage, there are very few abilities that land without being CC or being followed up after CC.

Warriors set up abilities are some of the easiest to land, backstab, binding sword, stun shout, combative strike, rising fury. These abilities are fairly easy compared to say a Slayer who's backstab is near useless and their only other set ups are KD strike, Stunning backhand (which has no duration vs stun reduction) and Eviscerate.

Warriors don't have to aim abilities and the hardest thing they have to hit is a combative strike, which is fairly easy, I do it consistantly and I don't even play Warrior.
