Is it possible for a Lancer to beat Ninjas? If so, how? Thank you!

Hello I'm a noob, but I haven't found any post regarding this matter in the forum that is recent enough.

Please explain, thanks!

You're putting a very high skill cap (in PvP) class against a relatively low skill cap class, and on top of it you're trying to take on one of the least balanced classes in PvP yet.

Honestly the only way to beat a ninja is to keep them from doing anything, as soon as they hit you, you are pretty much doomed.

(Pretty much) every skill is a stagger and they have what? 4 iframes, or 5, I can't remember. Start by leashing them, then keep them stunned till they die or you'll have a bad time.
  • I kinda expected the answer, and yes I do totally agree, thank you for the input! As for combos, do you have any suggestion? Leash > x > x, etc. Thanks

    4 Staggers.
    2 Iframes.
  • Uhh as a lancer, its pretty easy to beat ninjas in duels lmao... I don't know why someone was making it seem like some hard process. Just know your staggers, and out play theirs. When they are caught in 1000cuts, be ready to stagger as soon as they get out. Once they TP behind you, barrage them to stagger. You can giga off log. Do long combos to ensure damage. Just PM Blur if you're on FF. I can help.

Holy Crap You Must Be Good!
  • He's the ninja killer in FF so show respect haze, oh wait there are no ninjas in FF. :p NVM

Glad to know me giving advice to someone seeking it causes players to flame with sarcasm.
  • More like the problem lies in how egoistic you are.

Explain to me? All I said was. "I dont think its hard", and then gave counters that I use. I never said I was good lmao. Yeah FF doesn't have great ninjas, but counters are counters. I'm sorry i came off that way, I really didn't mean to.

its because blurberry answered it with bias in calling lancer V ninja an easy matchup and that probably got to him.... maybe he lost some to a few ninjas as a lancer who knows

I personally have not seen many good pvp players from fey forest but that's just my experience.

There are a few who are high skyring rated. The rest of the other I see from fey forest are in the 900-1000 elo in skyring.

I've personally had 1v1 matches with the best lancers on MT. For all, I can say the match up is not as easy as you make it seem.

For examples the tips you gave don't work in higher skill level.

    1. Waiting for their thousand cut to end does not work because the smarter ninjas will know to animation cancel the end part of thousand cuts with shadow step which removes the dead zone time.

    2. Giga off log does not work because most of the higher skilled ninja won't resort to decoy jutsu. It's much easier to just reposition with a double cut behind their block rather than giving them a free stun and plus the delay time for decoy jutsu gives the lancer an advantage rather than yourself one. It's better to use decoy jutsu in the Chakra Thrust > Decoy Jutsu combo for extra damage rather to get behind block.
