Rally!
***IF THIS IS POSTED IN WRONG AREA I AM SORRY***
I don't do this sort of 'complain in forums' crap very often, however, there is something that needs to be discussed and FIXED. If you couldn't tell by the title of this post, it's Rally. Some things about Rally I'd like to address that absolutely need some adjustment are:
1. The time the quest shows up. Rally is supposed to be at random times throughout the day, not right at reset.
2. The broken second rally quest that only scripters can get because the quest doesn't ever actually appear, and the guilds that have that quest are in fact scripting and need to be punished for it. No proof you say? The proof is in the pudding, considering that quest doesn't even show up in guild quests for anyone. Please tell me how someone, without scripting, can accept a quest that does not appear?
3. The gold drop during rally needs to be increased. A 30 man raid in rally will earn about 1k each IF they are lucky, probably not even that much. The most gold goes to whoever picks it up and then is distributed "evenly" I use that word lightly throughout the rest of the party/raid. Perhaps create a set amount that is given to each player who participated (and not AFK'd) based on their DPS, healing, and other stats.
4. Rally quest acceptance needs to be limited to 1 time a week per guild to fairly give other guilds a chance to accept the rally quest.
5. Rally quest acceptance also needs to be delayed by a period of time (preferably random) to also allow a fair chance of other guilds to accept the quest.
6. Rally quests should auto-complete once the boss has been killed.
7. Rally quest timer should be lowered from 2 or so hours to 1 hour. This will prevent guilds from holding onto the quests for almost the entire duration of the quest timer and give ample time to the accepting guild to form a party/raid.
8. *This goes hand in hand with #4.* To prevent the creation of alternate guilds so the same guild members still obtain the rally quest, set a level requirement and member requirement for guild's in order to accept the rally quest. Could also implement an account acceptance lock (so that the same account cannot accept rally quests more than 1 time per week) would be helpful, as well as a character level requirement of 65 with at least 410 item level. For instance, if one player account accepts the quest for Rally, that account cannot accept it again for a week as well as that guild is also unable to accept for a week.
9. Limit player's imperator box obtains during rally. For instance, not too long ago I had 1 person in rally obtain not one, not two, but three imperator boxes from rally in one day. The limit to this can be set to one box per player per week or some other number to make it more fair for the other players.
10. If there were to be two Rally quests back to back, the second quest should not appear or be able to be accepted UNTIL the first quest has been completed.
Am I expecting any of these changes to actually be considered and taken into effect? No. I just really needed to rant and toss a few ideas around just in case.
End rant.
