[KTERA] Info after VM9 patch.
Instead of translating exact words, my friend and I tried making up some names since it felt quite bland to just write whatever it was written (which you can see in Patch January 12th KTERA patch note.

Do you guys remember when the gap between old VM and new VM was like 4.5% for dps classes (i.e: VM5, VM5, VM7) and we could skip one VM gear (imo, that was the main value of +15 vm gear)?
Now, our ambush+15 will be a little better than mid-tier+12 of the next patch. Lucid +15 was much better than Dread+12, as Starfall+15 vs Slaughter +12!
I really hope that butt hole studio at least buff VM8 raw attack modifier!
Another stupid thing that they did is this new soulbound VM upgrade (VM8.5 and soon VM9.5) so we can't sell our gear to recoup some of the cost of the new VM...
Also let's remember that, on Spellbound patch, they increassed RNG by a lot on all accessory rolls. Guess what? They'll remove pvp credits (no more bonanza box for us) on the next patch, so the main source of semi scrolls will be... EMP boxes!
And ofc, after all revamps/balance talks and promises, another broken female class dealing 100% more dps than everyone else!
In the end, what i learned? Free to play model is just non viable in practice...
It's just a question of time when F2P = P2W...
Oh wait the servers are lagging to hard looks like I can't enjoy my recycled content
(Just salty cuz I converted all my ambush to behemoth a few days ago, also loosing my archer podium to pole dancer)
I'm still baffled by BHS thinking that removing all the newest dungeons while leaving most of the old ones counts as 'cycling stuff to keep it interesting so players won't get bored'. I guess they cannot support having every dungeon available all the time, but it'd be nice to have the choice on what to run.
Bonanza boxes didn't exist in KR. What were you thinking lol.
EME can just find another way to implement the Bonanza Box situation. Probably via Vanguard credits (I am looking at @LesbianVi's complaint about Enchantment Boon, perfect time to change that thing XD). Sure Semi rates will be way lower than before but I am pretty sure we will find a way around it.
I will just enjoy my stash of 10k semis when people start being desperate for it :^)
Think of BGs as dungeons, u go in (win) and get a box from that bg that drops X Y or Z loot depending on what BG u did
you dont craft, its a reward from the box.
Still change is worse for classes that need double crit accessories or double power(looking at you lunar dancer)
BG reward (at least, for Corsair Stronghold) is as follows:
1. Victory : 1 box for everyone
2. Defeat: 1 "Letter of Encouragement" to everyone with at least 10k contribution points. (unsure. could also be that you must have higher contribution than the last place in victory team)
3. Top 3 contribution point in that game will receive extra boxes.
--First place : 3 additional boxes
--Second place : 2 additional boxes
--Third place : 1 additional box
so top 3 out of 40. not top 3 of 20 each team.
"Letter of Encouragement" is a token that you collect 5 to convert it into the Box.
I dont know if that's really how it works since I can't even go in BGs often in KTERA to confirm, but the community seem to agree. I don't think this is anywhere near "good design".
This only tells me that the designer/developer has no idea how this game even work, as well have have zero understanding in why people farm points before patch hits. I just can't believe that they're THIS clueless about their own game. They still did not learn from why people hated Dreamstorm so much, which is mainly due to Healers and Tanks can't perform as much as DPS to earn contribution points, giving them a reward that's worthless compared to the amount of effort they had to put in. It should never be based on how hard a person can DPS to gain more points, and i can't comprehend why they've overlooked this very obvious flaw. I'm aware that it was to prevent AFK farming, but it's just a terrible way to put it, even those motes barely did anything since other DPS can snatch it. People have posted this in suggestion, forum posts, even Customer Support, and there has not been 1 clear answer other than replies sounding like reply bots, but at least their responses aren't 100% robot as they pretty much try to show what they've understood from reading.
Of course, it's not a surprise seeing how the dungeon designs have been disappointing since they began to nerf SCHM back in mid FoA patch.
The only great thing about KTERA at the moment is that GMs are actually decent enough to play all dungeons in the game now, but this still does not change the fact that, whether GMs are providing proper feedback to Devs or not, BHS just seems ignorant about the whole mess, only focusing on their other on-going projects.
They always ignore real flaws and mess with things that were almost fine before..
Imho, they only read inven forum complaints and buff/nerf class acordingly. Idk if they play their own game to see wtf they're doing. BHS is also pretty ignorant that there's others Tera versions outside of korea.
This developer is a master of easy short term stuff/easy money, i.e: More useless and game breaking RNG and grind, rerolls (that's why it's important to keep the classes as unbalanced as possible) and recycled content.
They're professionals variable/jpeg changers, models/maps recyclers and srand() function lovers. As an actual content creators tho, they're just terrible.
