resets for emp.. tera is really at the end. Is time to looking for another game to play... just saying
I'm so happy I cured any leftovers of interest (so did nearly every friend I met here) in this game early last year. Forums still fun to peek at occasionally though.
First off there is no going back to the old ways. You guys want builds that come out quicker then they used to and we get that but the reason we're able to have that is because our special builds are not a thing as much as they used to be. What this means is that certain things cannot be changed. I would assume this is the reason that reset scrolls are not working like they used to.
Second off you can get these for free AND it has been added to elite to add EVEN MORE VALUE!
Finally I believe some even asked for an EMP method and now you have it. Please stop the complaining over anything you can. It makes the IMPORTANT complaints not seem as important.
This has nothing to do with builds. If the old reset scrolls still work on old dungeons, then there's no reason they won't or made to work on the newer ones.
Introducing new reset scrolls purchasable by EMP and elite is the biggest scumbag move EME has made in a long time. Taking away something that was centralized to the current game, and then coming back with a "premium" version and acting like it's a perk and special event.
No one asked for an EMP method. Why? Because there was no need for it. Don't fix what isn't broken. Or in this case, don't start charging what was freely available and essential to playing the game.
You realize that this change has been in other regions for awhile and we only recently started following it ourselves right? I think you need to read on this a bit more before assuming there is a magical switch that EME isn't flipping to make it a single reset scroll again.
Woulda preferred Fed Bill shop but this is pretty sweet
It can't get better than this. More value from elite sub is always great!
This is the stupidest decision I've seen this company make in months. I've been devoting less time to this game in general, and decisions like these just validate my decision. The community in favor of this makes me sick; a game that used to have a great f2p model is slowly turning p2w and you're all just letting it happen. First dragons, now this. You deserve the game you get.
In practice, this decision doesn't really change much. Basically it brings us back to the status quo, except a) the stack of instance reset scrolls people had before have more limited use (so people can't pre-save up tons of scrolls before a patch and them dump them all on the newest instances to speed progression), and b) there's now an option for directly buying the scrolls à-la-carte on the cash shop (rather than indirectly through lootboxes, where they'd often been featured in the past, or by with the daily free Elite scroll which is now still there).
Now, personally, I agree that the restricting entry is not the way to go. Rather, I think they should find a way to restrict progression loot within those instances. I understand why every MMO has to balance it so that "no-lifers" don't end up permanently and inescapably ahead of more casual players. But the TERA system of not letting you do the content at all is an odd way to go about it, since it prevents people from helping others complete content. Restricting entry is mostly a lazy way to restrict loot, and an attempt to convince people to create more characters. Restricting progression loot makes more sense (and is what many other MMOs do).
That being said... this strategy hasn't really changed by this decision either way. It's just a different way of implementing what we had before. Instance Reset Scrolls were actually always on the cash shop, just in lootboxes instead so it was "hidden." (Now that there are multiple scrolls for different dungeons you can't really put them in lootboxes anymore since they'd be dated, hence making them consumables. Downside is basically now everybody realizes they're there whereas before many didn't think about it.)
You've always had a free reset scroll from elite. Vanguard gave a reset scroll through the mwa box. Certain loot boxes in the emp shop give reset scrolls.
The only things that have really changed is that there's a more direct way to obtain the reset scrolls and we can no longer reset three times in a row. I personally like the new system since you dont have to run every dungeon before you reset. This doesn't necessarily mean the end of having them drop in dungeons. Maybe they'll bring it back as an event, who knows. This panic over them being in the emp shop when they have been for years seems a tad bit over dramatic though.
nice do we play the same game or something ? those are the first reset that are been sold in emp shop
