Gaming PC only 10FPS

Hi i dont know why but i get in Broken Prison 10FPS and in other dungeons constantly 15-30FPS but i dont know why.
I bought a new gaming PC and Tera runs worse then before. Before i had like constantly 40 to 50 FPS. I cant believe that i only get 10FPS with this setup.
I put the settings down and get the same results. If the settings are on max its the same FPS. I updated my graphic driver and i watched the temperatures.
Cpu is constantly at 55Degrees and GPU is at around 35-40degrees. I feel like Tera isnt using their power. So i need help. I alrdy did Bernkastels optimization guide and tried the stuff there out but it had no effect.

My specs:
CPU :Intel Core i7-6700 | 4x 3.4GHz, 8MB L3-Cache
Mainboard: MSI B150M Mortar | Intel B150, mATX
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB | MSI 6GT OC
RAM: 16GB DDR4-2133 | 2x 8GB
The thing that delivers energy: 500W - Corsair CX Series

Hope someone can fix this!

  • Very good spec... there is no reason to experience any issue regard to fps in your game... might be the bad optimization and the compatibility in the new Nvidia generation cards.... i can't said the same thing like you but i expected more from my 1080 so is the driver issue i think, BTW in which resolution you play? cuz i play in 4k and maybe is that the reason of fps dropped.

Tera the only game that mekes your $4,000 gaming rig look like a potato.
  • Hundred % right @RKC is the poor optimization... even that this game is very stronk when render in real time we talk, think about it 200+ players in the same screen shooting a lot of skill with plenty of effect, graphics at max, shadows up, texture quality up, at 4k!, lol is very very hard to move that... trust me.
  • my game resolution is 1920x1080 so i doubt that this is the issue just wondering that my old computer had more fps then the new one -.-
  • Win10 x64 for sure it's just the stupid compatibility between Graphic driver and game engin3..... that all. meantime tweek the game video setting and Nvidia Game setting, sometimes Nvidia experience tweek the game and you don't realize, so check those option and configure with the best options.

Compatibility issues, new gens of intel core processors aren't the best for old games (yes Tera can be considered old) and not matters how powerful your gpu is, there are so few gpus that are copatible with Tera.
  • Definitely try installing the latest GeForce Drivers from the Nvidia website to see if that helps. If it's a brand new machine, it may still have whatever was installed by Windows Update, which won't necessarily be the latest/greatest.
  • dam and yes roly i have windows 10 64bit you were right x). thx for the replys! guess i will just have to endure it :/

Hi, make sure ur running thr game with ur graphics card and not integrated graphics.
  • I only have 5 fps and can play. :/
i can play normally but sometimes get lagging.
my computer sucks and i can't afford to buy a new graphic card atm.

Anytime you get a new computer make sure you get rid of any excess installed on it, along with manually updating the drivers. The pre-installed Windows they have on pre-built computers are just a copied image and not one tailored to the individual computer.
  • I would suggest you to check on which graphic card your laptop using for Tera too...

One of the issues that make tera being cpu heavy and low fps when a lot of players are in the same place is the same thing that make tera unique: Hitbox / skill hitting detection
