So many small and quite simple solutions have been voiced for many concerns the community has. Yet little to no action is taken by EME or BHS.
Little to no communication from EME staff for the past what... year? 6 mo at the least its been quite bad.
It's almost February and no Producer letter yet... if you can't see it here's a surprise:
EME has forsaken this game.
those masks show nothing, i can name people from your server who fed kills to themselves and have no clue how to pvp just to get the mask and gold, some even got exarch on multiple alliances to feed wins to themselves in conflict. i have had those masks for years when alliance was actually active and i see no point it keeping it exlcusive because there are people walking around now that either fed to get the masks as me or alliance became so dead you could just do the daily quests with no pvp to get ech/commander, making the masks even more insignificant.
Lack of participation in alliance meant getting rewards wasn't difficult. I don't have it since I dislike masks all together, as well as helmets, but I can see why people would want them and don't understand the "prestige" argument when it came from dead content.
No you dont understand,its not about it being hard to get.
It's about everyone trying to be a special snowflake.
Make a straw poll and allow people to vote whether they want a certain item or not, e.g ghost helm/alliance masks. And whichever side gets most votes then you can take it from there
And the "No" votes are going to be from those QQ and haters that don't even play the game but fills of hatred the forum, so the pool is an instawin for "YES".
If you want it to be some daily reward for logging in, put in a rng box with lame daily reward like elite box.
If you want it to be something to signify how long you've been in the game/ how much you involved with the game, put in a statutory reward like exclusive mount/pet/title/cosmetic which cost 1k+ bills, untradeable.
Legacy fun stuffs like dragon firework or stackable size changer won't [filtered] off anyone (unless you're in Highwatch when someone spam 20 of those fireworks around, but come on that was the very definition of fun).
Discontinued mounts/pets/costumes/weapon skins. Yes, someone might flip the table, but satisfying a big player base is much more important than catering for some selfish asses holding onto a few rare stuffs. We'll be sure to white knight you if those asses decided to make a mess on the forum. However don't touch achievement related stuffs, since whoever got those mounts/hats/masks clearly didn't do it by themselves, and they would no doubt bring an army with them onto the forum. You'll be on your own.
Untradeable consumable. VERY good way to spend thousands of bills without kicking someones in their sacks. 7/30 days unlimited use nostrum, 30m cd bravery, 75% hp/mp pots,... along with whatever we already have. Heck, lets just bring EU's accelerated pot here (unusable in dungeon or while in GvG) so we can have fun messing up in VO.
Anyway this is not something EME can and should be deciding alone since it affects a lot of ppl. It is always better to discuss more and do less than making change on your own discretion without communication.
PLEASE put Hat of Sweet Dreams back in the Fed Bill store. This was in there previously, and then disappeared with no explanation. I need my witchy hat!!!
So since there's been lots of suggestions, I might as well throw mine out there as well...
I think the store should be changed to have randomized items in it, similar to the rewards emporium but on a longer cooldown and without tiers. It might even be nice to allow the use of bills to change the store's current inventory.
Why do this? First and foremost, it makes it interesting again. People will check the shop often just to see what's available and you [EME] can rotate new items into (and out of) the store to prevent it from getting stagnant. (Small example of this, I still login to Destiny each weekend to see what Xur has available that week.)
With it, you could occasionally put more rare items in there along with certain cashshop items (but make them account bound to control the reseller market), such as name and character changes. In addition, you could maybe add certain consumables (food/nostrum) that could be purchased with bills as well.
Last thing: if EME decides to rerelease things like the old alliance masks, I think that's a great idea, but I personally believe they should be recolored or given some indicator they aren't exactly the same. The originals should be special because those players were involved with the game during that time period and should have at least that little slice of history to call their own.
