Guile Vs. Veldeg/Omen/Guile 2.0

Just found out kTera will be releasing a new set called Veldeg as their mid tier gear. I was wondering if I should still invest in Guile by +12ing (wep +12, mw armor, gloves, boots all at +9) everything or save my feedstock + alkahest for this new Veldeg gear? Can I still run the endgame dungeon to get the new VM9 gear in +12 Guile or will I have to refarm everything from the ground up for full Veldeg +12 just to farm for VM9?

Also I really hate they're removing Liltih's keep + ruinous manor :(

    The one catch to mid tier gear is that typically it needs to be replaced next gear cycle. Top tier sets have a little bit of a longer shelf life and can last through the next cycle (usually).

    I am actually very glad they will remove LK and RM
    troll spider in LK, Lilith's horrifying moan.
    Boring RMNM because bosses have too much HP.
    Ping dependant RMHM.

    Troll Spider in LK - Agreed. I hate this boss with all my heart.

    minimum ilvl for highest tier dungeons at the moment is 423... its the ilvl of fully guile equipped user.

    if you don't want to invest in guile you should at least get your +12 weapon and wait for guile 2.0 to enchant the rest of your gear when the enchantment requirements drops... then get your guile 2.0 weapon... with this you should be able to tackle all dungeons except the hardest dungeon...

    I guess what I'm trying to ask is can I use full +12 Guile since I only need a few more upgrades to finish to do the new hardest dungeon to get VM9. Or will people only accept me if I'm in full Veldeg +12 for it? Just really want to know if new dungeon that drops VM9 gear is doable in +12 full Guile so I don't have to refarm again for a week for Veldeg +12 unless I'm forced to.

    guile will be low tier armor like slaughter is for next patch so no you will be ignored in lfgs. so +12 you r guile save the rest of your gold and buy and ambush weap next patch

    You can if you have a full group of friends who would be willing to carry you and feed you vm9 mats, and probably all the enchanting mats since you even have to think about "investing in guile". You might as well ask them to make vm9 +15 then lib for you, that would be much more efficient method.
    Basically, NO.

    If you're only play casually, get guile 2.0 then stay there for the rest of next patch. Don't bother with vm9.

    You can do all dungeons in mid tier gear and farm for vm9. People will going with friends aka whisper. You will not be accepted to lfg unless your class is overpowered like the new one will be. Tera depends on the skill of the player to know all mechanic and with a bit of practice is not hard game.
    If you are not lazy you can try find static party with ppl you can play at the times you are free. You can farm to make 100 - 200k in the game and then buy lower - sell higher in the broker, but takes time and it is boring to make 1 million gold and you will be able to get your high end gear.

    any thing new you hear in ktera, expect to not get here for 4+ months after, only exception are cash shop items. cause thats all they care about.

    You can do all content in mid tier gear, but mid tier gear is so easy to get and enchant that people will assume you suck.

    Nope.
    That was true till VM7 patch.
    Just look what Butt hole studio did to VM8 gear on Ktera!

    Ambush +15 will be only like 6% better than next mid-tier, that is like nothing, just irrelevant and i rly wonder if any serious dps or tank will ignore VM9!
    Compare that to Starfall +15 that even today is like equal to guile+12 for dps classes!
    So, for now, you guys gonna change +15 VM gear every patch, just like mid-tier, but 16x-20x more expensive :awesome:

    So, mid-tier (and very casual playstyle) will be a much better bang for the buck than any VM gear.

    Only crazy ppl will pay like 300K for a gear that will be only 6% better than mid-tier that any casual will be able to craft and +12 on the first week!
    Btw, Imperator +15 is ~12.5% better than guile +12 rn.
    What BHS did to VM8 was one of the main reason why i quit this game :pleased:

    Thanks for all the answers. I play a tank and maybe my gear requirement won't be that high to get into the VM9 dungeon hehe. I base the gear off the recommended gear score to queue for the dungeons. Apparently the VM9 dungeon has a minimum of 423 gear score to queue for it which I heard you can reach with full +12 Guile.

    As long as I can reach 423 with Guile I think I'll stick with it and skip Guile 2.0 and just replace my Guile with VM9 as I get the mats. Being a tank I don't think I'll really need to go hardcore with 430+ gearscore for new dungeon as long as I know the mechanics.

    no, you still need to acquire guile 2 weapon at least...

    you be a burden for the party since you just meeting the min requirements for instant matching those dungeons...
    the requirement for the hardest dungeon is yet to be revealed but it should be around 428... the ilvl you should be getting if you upgrade your weapon...
