That is not a solution but rather to cover a hole digin another.
About heals, they dont need gear, they dont need nothing, guile+12 will be able to HH or RMHM, i just create a mystic this week, i just have to throw [filtered] around and debuff bosses, is like super cheap class ever and every one prefer double heals, so i fell i m geting rich just doing dungeons with my mystic, zero cost and alot profit. I will assume priest is just the same, but i dont have one YET lol.
The game have no tanks, 90% of LFG are always looking for a dammit tank, the game have no tanks cause after all is not fun be holding aggro, i have a brawler my self, i dont want ever play with that again. unless i can profit with this, will fix 100%, NOT, but more players will play as tank.
Also dont need be all dungeons or all days, EME could think in something and i think they can, just change rewards from vanguards for a specfic class should be simple.
But you never know, recent changes to warrior might fix the problem as well.
inb4 zerker tank overhaul announcement!
Rewards will not fix the issue without making a new one.
Ppl is greedy and if they see triple rewards for one class then most of them will play that class becuase they don't care about the class but only the rewards.
Like i said, diggin a hole to cover one don't fix the problem at all, the lack of tanks will become a lack of healers or a lack of dps.
Ppl that really play tank for fun don't even bother with the lack of tanks becuase they have no q time on dungeons, like dps. There you have enought rewards being capable to farm mats faster than dps or healers and gearing up first than them.
Like Yamazuki said, if you think no one wants to tank then do it yourself.
Like slightly more frames to chain and block in PvE, doesn't have to be at the easy block level of Brawler.
By doing so you also actually make it accessible to people with slower reaction time, because the main reason why most people don't like to tank is that there is too much pressure to handle the boss in the front.
With GF being infinite soon, the tank shortage problem would improve though, so I won't really know.
All these one shot ko's are a cheap way of keeping tanks on their toes. It gets old fast.
Bring back an actually aggro system and use more engaging tanking mechanics instead of these repetitive and boring one shot dance dance revolution gameplay mechanics.
BHS/EME made tanking a bit easier. Do you remember the times when you had to tank with your back against the wall to prevent being pushed back? All you could see was some claws and you had to guess what boss attack comes next. We also now have a glowing animation while block is active.
I can fully understand that tanking should not be a child's play. But I don't have the reaction time like a teenager anymore and a >120ms ping from europe. With my lancer, Kalivan's Challenge may be the safety limit for me.

I don't think higher rewards will lure people into tanking, because tanking is a certain mindset. Potential tank players are people who have knowledge about the boss' attack/animation and the timing. In contrast, a DPS player does not care for that at all. A DPS is fine with looking at the big warning on screen and react.
I don't need a guitar hero guide where tanking advices are flashing on screen. But let's exaggerate and imagine every skill giving a block (like Brawler, haha). Those who are potential tank players would surely play a tank then as there's no difference to a DPS.
I do agree with the pushback fix but giving tanks so much aggro was overkill. It just became a frontal dps with less dps than the guys/girls in the back.
Also about the mention of reaction time, again I definitely agree. You don't need to implement quick flashy mechanics to keep a tank busy. That is just poor and lazy game design.
Maybe a few here and there but pretty much everything now has this feature.
Also if you dont have +15 armor, you're paper. My +15 Lancer feels like god mode compared to my +12 guile alts. Tanks are not tanky if you dont have gear and this turns off potential/starting tanks imo.
^this
The game has terrible client side prediction for lancers and any class that blocks.
Needs some work behind the scenes to fix client side prediction.
Obviously such changes would have no affect for low ping players, but would drastically increase the numbers of people willing to tank.
Problem is, this will never happen.
BHS probably have much dumber solutions in mind.
Yeah.
They will probably brought us a Tank Healer before thinking about it.
Quick note on the subject, lancers are great for party buffs/debuffs, but need a personal DPS boost. JS
