Sometimes I can't cancel res

As in title - sometimes when I cast res, I'm stuck and I can't cancel it by moving in any direction. I usually end up dying because of that. It is very rare (like once per few SSH runs) but I'm curious what causes it. Am I pressing something without noticing? My keybind to res is Shift+F1.

    You can cancel until a certain part of the animation. After that point you cany cancel no matter what you do.

    I only know you can't cancel at the end of the animation, but I am pretty sure you can cancel by backstepping.

    Sometimes activating brooch or some other item will lock you into resurrect (most of the time it's brooch for me)

    my resses go off really fast , so i never paid too much attention to exactly when it can't be canceled, but judging by my senses you stop being able to cancel it once the runes hit the halfway mark around the res area in the animation. i believe you may be able to backstep or jaunt before your character enters the final casting animation (ie. elin mystic hop, or priests raising their hands)

    I had this exact same problem a number of years ago, you would press a direction button to cancel res and just continue ressing for no apparent reason. I never figured out why it was happening and for some reason it went away. While it was happening I discovered that pressing the movement button again would sometimes work, as if the game was just ignoring you the first time you pressed the direction button. You can always cancel res while the circle is forming on the ground, there is this final animation sequence after that which is locked in.

    Wow, I tested it just now and it's totally a brooch! If I use brooch during casting, I can't cancel it anymore, even with backstep. I must've been accidentally using it. Thanks!

    Using a brooch or any consumable item while casting resurrect will make you unable to cancel the skill.

    I never use any consumbles on my Priest and it happens to me ocasionally as well. Must be some kind of bug.
