Etching

Where can I find Artisan Additive? Am I forced to buy it from the Tera Store? So far I can't find the Artisan Additive on my own means except the Tera Store. Help please?

  • Cash shop or broker.
  • Cash shop meaning Tera Store? When you say Cash Shop I'm thinking real freaking money here.
  • EMP shop.

Body is 1 characters too short.
  • Yeah EMP shop is Tera Store. I think I'll pass that 15% to crit on an etching is not worth paying real money when its not 100% chance to crit.

    Thanks for answering.

And is not even a 15% chance, Is your (chance of crit) * 1.15

    I don't think I need a picture.

    Artisan Additive
    Uncommon
    No Sale Value
Additive Increases Critical success chance by approximately 15% for crafting artisan items. Consumed each time. Not necessary, but useful for artisan crafting.

Average Brokered Sale 1,213 gold 18 silver 43 copper.

It doesn't say 115% or I would understand your use of the decimal there....

So I am confused as to why you even commented 1.15. Sorry but can you be more clear. All I know is what it says the percent chance is. To me specifically 15% is not really much at all. Especially to get it with real money. So not worth it.

Like I said. 100% chance then yeah maybe..depending on if I really want to spend the cash.

yeah and its ungodly unrealistic to spend. not for 15% crit chance.

The additives don't add, they multiply. So even if it said 100% it is multiplying by 100% and not adding 100%. Which means, it wouldn't be a guaranteed crit.
  • Ok now I am really super confused. Tera math just .. starting to sound like trig or calc..Which I don't know either.
  • So how would I know what I am doing then on crafting etches? Soon I'll be working on the second etch test now on my priest. Is there a guide that helps me understand the etching process..like how do you actually know what your crit chances are for etching..

Not like I am in combat or anything.
  • You don't know your crit chance. It's RNG. Some days you can crit 3/3 on tier 2 etchings and I've had others where I've gone 0/15. I would not recommend crafting anything other than dendrites unless you are prepared to lose potentially a lot of money. Every tier 3 glove/weapon etching attempt costs like 25k gold. If you don't crit, you lose 23k. And the crit chance even with master additive is pretty [filtered]. Etchings is honestly not worth the investment to do especially with how easy it is to get etch IV's now.

I don't think there is info about your "critical success chance" ratio.

But think about it, just say that "x" is your critical success chance and its ratio is 3%.

If you use the additive then you will have x+x*15%, that will give you 3.45% of critical success chance using the additive.
