Good Warrior Tanks could still hold aggro before their buffs, now it's not even an issue.
Zerk Tanks have the highest aggro generation of any tank, even despite their low damage.
Warriors have the strongest block of any tank, and after their buff the strongest active blocking skill as well.
Between their iframes and movement skills, Warriors and Zerks have no issue positioning; they both have more potential mobility than Lancer or Brawler. Also don't have to worry about losing GF like Brawler.
Party buffs are obviously what make Lancer's desirable, but the extent of their effect is heavily dependant on the party's skill. In an experienced high DPS party, those buffs are an amazing boost. In an inexperienced lesser party, where people may not make the most of said buffs with their own skills, the effect isn't going to be nearly the same. Not everyone is going to be running with good parties 100% of the time.
Personal skill at the given class and role is what's important. A run with a bad Lancer will take longer than a run with a good Warrior/Zerk, and their are people who may be better at one class than another, even if the other one is better. Regardless, people should play what they have fun as, and work to get good at it. I almost exclusively tank, and have played all 4 tanks, and for me personally Lancer is the least fun; I find the hybrids much more enjoyable.
Otherwise we get into territory like @Hijikata1 said, where literally no one should play anything but Lancers and the highest FotM classes because all anyone cares about is speed (false), when really it doesn't matter; everything is still viable. I've zerk tanked RMHM for a party of Guile Slayers before, wasn't any worse than any other run, just took a bit longer.
Besides, if you don't like running with those classes, nothing is making you. You can play with other people, and the ones playing those tanks can join one of the other parties that needs a tank, since they are always needed somewhere either way. Another similar point is to say how idiotic it is to complain about a lack of tanks, then reject 3/4ths of the classes.
Now if anyone has helpful Warrior Tank-related guilds or content, please share, since that's what this topic was asking for, not to turn into a pointless class-based arguement like every other hybrid tank topic, where people complain about classes they don't actually know much about.
Also @RimbaldiOfTera Why would you have a Warrior Tank in the party if you're on Lancer period? They queue as tanks so they don't get put in parties with other tanks. And if it's a LFG they should see that there is a dedicated tank already.
There are 4 tank classes on Tera:
If you are a Lancer and IM for a party then the Warriors you will be matched are for DPS and not for tanking.
Tell them that. When you get in a dungeon you change change out your glyph set up and crystals too. You can change out your gear with the simple click of a saved set up if you wanted to tank the dungeon.
While people may consider Berserkers and Warriors Tanks. I don't. I consider them dps. Brawler I consider a burst dps tank like Gunner.
Did You even understand what I told You?
If u see the war in your IM party using D-stance while you are tank.
1: speak it if ignore then go 2 or 3
2: let them tank
3: let them die
4: you could just leave
I find tanking usually is on player skill issue. I would never want to join a group that only want certain class cause those group BORING AS HELL.
I most certainly did.
I gave my thought on it too.
Considering that..I have an agro crystal, and purposely place agro crystals on my jewelry also. With my skills also glyphed to pull agro..
Oh yes I do see them die quite often. Maybe its an adrenaline rush for them...more challenging. I don't know. The fact is As a lancer...By class.. in a party...Should be pulling the MOST agro. The warriors agro should not outshine the lancer.
Getting back on track...
I agree if tanking dps such as warriors is his style than by all means go for it. However as a warrior jumps around a lot to dodge attacks and using his agro skill to keep the attention on him and not the healer, is good; should a lancer be in the party..that player should keep in mind that the lancer is the 'Tank" of the party.. Supposed to be.
Now play what class you want. Find your style. Heck play them all try them out. I did the same thing until I found a class that suited me.
I can't tell if it's a language barrier, or you're a troll, or you're just immune to logic and common sense.
If there is a Lancer in the party constantly losing aggro to a Warrior it's because the Lancer is way outgeared by the warrior or just bad at their job. Nobody is actively trying to steal aggro on a dps warrior except trolling their friends once in awhile.
Something wrong with what I said?...
You comment to me like I'm beneath your or something.
That's because the situation that you descripted is highly unlikely... I've been in many trap runs but I have never seen a DPS warrior that use d-stance and aggro crystal to troll lancer on purpose. It can believe it could happen ONCE but it's as probable as priest leashing ppl to death on purpose. Being able to abuse that 1 skill does not mean that priest is not healer.
Are you sure these warriors aren't using a-stance and just terribly outdpsing you? Warrior in a-stance doesn't have any aggro bonuses compared to other DPS classes.
I don't deny there are morons in IMS that will use d-stance as a DPS but these should be very isolated cases.
