    I'd say these days it's whales and addicting cash shop. As long as publishers see it this way, not much will change.

    As far as latency goes, I dusted off my 2012 warrior on EU side for comparison. 40-50ms vs 150-180ms ... feels like a different game.

    That is why KR has more whales than NA, because they have good internet connection to begin with. Because 99.9% of their community runs at below 20ms ping (constant mind you, their routing providers are top notch), there is no objective reason to optimize for above 20ms at all. Which is also why KR doesn't understand why NA servers (and actually soon EU) are losing players.
