it is not the merge the problem, but with which server they merge, it would not be a problem if they merge HW with AV and merge both LOT and VOT with MT and keep the same rule with PVP and PVE server
everyone would be happy with that, but instead they choose this PVP65, so if HW pay this price i feel it is fair than MT pay this price too, so now you are in the same boat than HW people and now you feel the same thing than them
It seems as PvP for you is only about PKing lowbies.
You can go Velik's outskirt and gank ppl there, you could yell at EME to be able to gank ppl on IoD but you prefer to QQ about not being able to kill lowbies.
You are the perfect example of what a PvPer is not.
at the same time however if I saw a level 20 go after another 20 and kill their own level Id let it be.but I was no saint. I joined a PvP server for the point of PvP.
If you somehow irked me, or bugged me, while I was leveling up, you tried killing me or my BAM I was fighting to get a free kill, or you were taking resources I needed like the ores which used to have a purpose for leveling crafting. I wouldn't hesitate to outlaw and kill you just to get those resources.
Most players tried to avoid infamy. For having infamy was negative. It marked you as a target for every other player in the area to see and kill on sight it did a good job at persuading most people don't get this unless you want to be marked and killed by everyone.
back in strikeforce this was annoying. Because dying meant having to run back into town at 0 stamina and sitting by a campfire because there didn't use to be a restorative cleric in every small area or Outpost. And it cost alot more gold to full stamina full HP's and full Mana then it does now. And without stamina you were weaker then before so having 100%.
was a big freaking deal because without it you'd do alot less damage and kill things alot less effectively.
You'd have to stop spend 5- 10 minutes or so by a campfire in town or one you got from mobs or run all the way back to town on Ground mount (flying mounts made this game so much more stupidly easy.) To a major city or outpost like Popilon to get your stamina back and when you died you'd have to do that all over again.
teleportation vendors were annoying to pay to teleport back to the area as it was alot harder to make money every copper piece earned was saved.and you had to walk back and hopefully not get killed again. farming as a outlaw with infamy in other Chanel's was not safe either. if an outlaw really made alot of enemies and became too much of a loudmouth.
level 60's from multiple different guilds against killing lowbies would show up on level 60 mains or higher levels alts search the area for your charecter..And they would find you then you'd have to run or die risking losing your stamina.
Which then Everytime they saw you people would call your name out or scream what you class was and go "ARCHER LEVEL 35 LAKE OF TEARS CH3, 1100 INFAMY COME KILL THIS [filtered]."
At which you'd then have to run away again or risk getting utterly destroyed. Costing you time money and progress. You could keep Chanel swapping but other people would be hunting for you so it was never safe. You would deal with this till that infamy ran out and allowed you to not end up suffering this fate again.
Which is why I absolutely hated lowbie killers. I depsised them then more then you I hated them soo much i made a guild at level 53 dedicated to putting down any scum that enjoyed killing lowbies and then I went around seeking people to fight.
I then learned that if I wanted to achieve this goal id have to get geared so I could do this. and so I began farming for strikeforce and practicing honing my skills to use and learning combos to use on other players to use on other players who just ganked lowbies for some it was easy to kill them for others it was a challenge to beat them.
I'd go back battered and broken mocked and tormented by my opponents only having it encourage me to get better get more gear and fight them later on.
(While frusterating it made me enjoy the game more when I could finally kick their asses and send them packing) then I'd kill them over and over till they left, broke half Their crystals because complete crystal binds were alot more expensive and harder to acquire those days so most people only had a limited number of crystal binds on hand to use.
Unlike your whining now Usagi about how unfair to is for lower levels to get ganked the game used to be much..Much harder and gave a reason for people as to why to hate lowbie killers because there were actually consequences involved with dying. That's not the case anymore.
Open world PvP between lower levels was a important part of PvP again when resources used to be scarce and crafting actually had a point PvP had a very important part to play inprogressing sometimes you didn't need a reason to outlaw and kill the other person other then "this is my spot go get your own spot"or "these are my mobs you're trying to kill steal my mobs screw you these are mine." Or " I wanna practice get better at the game learn what my skills do and how to use then again to the players."
that was because leveling was so much more difficult then it is now. You had to work for everything you had back then meanwhile today the game basically just hands you everything with little to no effort and goes "here you go level 65 in two days!"
While this made it much easier to create multiple alts different accounts and earn gold quicker. It broke the game progress wise and sped things up the point there was almost no content to do. Old days it took alot harder to gear felt more rewarding and was over all more fun then it is now .
The time renegade came out was the time this game most most it's players because they got bored and the game kept getting easier and easier.
- Reaper launched, and it was overpowered as heck.
- People cried about Mystic Thrall of Wrath being able to decimate entire groups in one shot, so they limited its use, and mystics cried.
- Gunner launched, and same stuff happened as with Mystics, but now with their huge BFG skill.
- Cancerous knockups were introduced with Brawler, and is still cancer to this date, because you can't do [filtered] when 2 or more brawlers show up.
- Ninja happened, and it brought even more knockups.
- Equalized FWC happened.
If you wanna play TERA, you have to accept the fact that you will be playing a PvE game, with a small amount of PvP that can be found in the form of duels, Civil Unrest, FWC and CS, cause the other 2 BGs, Iron Battleground and kumas royale, are labeled by the community, as non PvP, even tho you go against other players in both BGs, so by definition, they would also be PvP, but i digress, im just a PvE pleb.
Contrary to common belief, the real reason behind why MT turned into a PvP65 rule, was because of BHS. Fey Forest was just a test to introduce the rule of PvP65. However, our Na client is quite unique, and still is, because we were the only (to my knowledge) client that had an open world PvP server. In order to bring us closer to all of the other regions and hence, make patches arrive faster in the future, EME had no choice but to turn MT into a PvP65 server, because this is how it is in Ktera and all other regions. Player feedback had nothing to do with the change, it was just imposed onto us by BHS changing the rule on the Outlaw Declaration skill.
Reading that this game included open world PVP was the ONLY reason I downloaded this game, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I know the game has more to offer now but it's such a waste to remove this feature from the game for people who enjoy it because PVE SERVERS EXIST FOR THOSE WHO HATE OPEN WORLD PVP. And I'm leveling a couple characters right now and would love the ability to start some skirmishes with other players leveling in the same zones.
you are just jealouse to no be in hostile club before they close the old forum
but anyway, now we enjoy to see people like you QQ about MT PVP 65 :chuffed:
and about my life well at least i am not turn mad like you as in this post :awesome:

Again you fools fail to see anything. "Not morally right." It's a [filtered] video game you idiots! second off by disabling PvP only for 65 meant, other classes can't engage in PvP at the lower levels and again I'll say this there used to be a [filtered] reason for PvP at lower levels now there is none. At least one thing griefing did was it taught you not everything was gonna be a nice and friendly smooth way to the max level it is a server that lives up to its name.

Im sick of you white knights crying and [filtered] acting like you know anything about PvP stay on your carebear servers or stay in the safezone and stop typing. Anyways, the reason PvP is mostly dead today is there is no point for it. Back in the days of strikeforce 1-60 days there was a reason it existed. This reason forced you to engage in it at all stages of leveling and paying the game. Whether it was holding Nexus spots to gains. Profit, or It came from resources, money, and power over certain areas.
OMG i cant believe you are serious in this post
so many madness from you
If open world PVP was so terrible and most players wanted it removed then WHY WAS MT THE MOST POPULATED SERVER BY FAR? Nobody has answered this question.
And by the way my highest character right now is 45 and I mainly started fights with people leveling in my own zone for fun and laughs. I killed a lower level character but then a high level character came and owned me a few times. I didn't whine about it on the forums, this is the reason I joined a PVP server. Some players love the sense of danger and drama that exists on open world PVP servers.
You can't convince me that most players hated the open world PVP system we had before because MT became the most populated for a reason.
You are right and wrong. MT is still the most populated server, with TR being the second most populated. Regardless of all of the threats in the forums to EME from MT players about leaving TERA if MT turned into a PvP65 server, they were just a small minority. MT is still the largest and most populated server. and EME does not consider the Korean playerbase. Their main focus is the Western playerbase, as they are the publishers of TERA for the West in the NA region. The ones to blame are BHS. Their updates come mainly from Korean player feedback, and nothing else. It is hard to tell if our feedback really reaches em, or if they even read it at all, so we assume they do not care about the other regions so long as Korea and Japan regions are happy. All changes that are made based on Korean feedback are brought to us, like it or not.
