New To Tera, Your Coolest Looking Class?

Hey I'm new to Tera and would like your feedback and your thoughts on the coolest looking class around atm (includes MTX if you want). It's for my personal references cuz i wan't to make a new character. I'm the type of person that will play any kind of class that is not TOO underpowered. But with the exception that i can be glamorous at the same time. I'm leaning towards the guy with the big axe (berserker?). But after reading some posts and looking around, i found that he's a bit underpowered at current patch? (not sure tho)
So any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance bud

Classes are always getting balanced here and there, and Berserker is no exception, if you like a heavy hitting, slow class that can quite literally keep your enemies on the ground until they are dead, then Berserker is for you.

But it comes to option. Like agility? Pick Ninja. Want Agility with a bit of defense? Try Warrior. Wanna go full tank? Brawler or Lancer. It all comes down to preference, personally, I picked the sorcerer class as my main because I am a sucker for magic stuff.

Thanks for the fast responses. This was meant for your guys personal preferences really. I've played other MMO's and i can safely say i like to play almost all the classes. So atm i'm just looking for the craziest looking ones with decent power in endgame. Is reaper any good in end game?

I can imagine that you're coming from another MMO in which are underpowered classes. Those classes experience hard prejudice and are even being kicked out of groups because their uselessness.

In Tera, we are lucky not to have such classes/a situation. They are roughly balanced and I've never heard all these years that one class is being kicked for delivering outstanding low damage/heals/tanking.

In my opinion, female High Elves have the most gracile battle animations, which gives them a touch of coolness.

If you're going for Berserker, you should really make an Elin. Some little Elin, swinging a Halberd twice her size is the best thing among all MMOs (I dare say). Some people also like playing a small Popo (same size).

Since this post is mostly about battle aesthetics I'll just list some classes and the race/gender combos I think look coolest for you.

Sorcerer-- Really versatile on the 'cool factor' cause to me this is the classes with the coolest animations around the board. My fave picks are high elf female (an rpg classic. beautiful graceful black magic lady), male castanic (they bring a powerful looking stance and animation to a squishy class), and female aman (they look good no matter what they do tbh, have some really nice cloth armor as well). And though elins aren't really "cool" they're worth mentioning here 'cause they levitate while casting fireblast, which is dank.

Warrior-- A class that's all about animations and the fluidity of them. By far the nicest looking race for warriors are Castanic, in either gender, both look amazing as warriors.

Archer-- I think archers has the most underwhelming animations, very boring class to watch and to play (very easy and strong though, good for newcomers), but Popori archers will always be adorable and the best suited. (though elin archers do a sweet backflip as their backstep animation, very cool)

Berserker-- A mixed bag, this class (along with lancers probably) will probably raise the most arguments about animations. It may be a weird choice but I really like high elf male zerkers for some reason, maybe it's the mix of a pretty boy wielding a huge axe? Not sure, just looks cool. Female elves are also worth mentioning her cause they do a really cool frontal flip when they use the skill called Flatten. (both genders of amani bring a very cool and classic look to the zerker class as well)

You said not too underpowered so I imagined you don't want to play a healer, and... in other cases I would mention the slayer class, which starts out slow and clunky but at end game with enough attack speed stack they look incredibly cool in just about every race and gender, sadly their dps is very low in comparison to other classes these days.

Thanks for your time posting. Appreciate the thoughts. After reading this i might stay away from slayer for the time being. Although i DO like its looks and swagyness. For now the 3 main class i'll be playing is berserker, lancer, and archer cuz they have cool cosmetics IMO. Waiting for the download to finish atm, can't wait. :pleased:

Lancer is good choice. I remember when I started playing back in 2014, I chose lancer because I loved the big shield and lance look. In most rpg games, I always like choosing something that has a shield and it's pretty cool lol. To this day I still play lancer as my main. I started out as an elin and always found it really cool that an elin with a big shield and lance lol. But after sometime I switched to amani because I fell in love with the armor and the shield/lance is much bigger. And also I feel it's a rarity to see femani play lancer lol. Berserker is definitely fun, especially a little elin with a big axe. And archer is also a great choice as well.

Uhm Coolest Looking Class depends on every person personal taste, that is why you have preview of armor when you are creating yours. As for the best one that depends on the skill of the player and here is important for you to see what class will fit you the most. The best calss(player) is the one that will not die and will do his job no matter if it is tanking, healing or dpsing. In my opinion the best classes are the range ones and I think that goes for every game even tho I want to play with mele one. Lancer is maybe the best tank, but is hard to play with if you are new, brawler is easy cos you are blocking when attacking. Dunno about now, but in the past I think priest was more easy to play with if you wanna be healer, mystic is a bit harder, but more fun. From dps classes I think zerk is the hardest to play with cos he is slow and he have small hitting radius. Easiest class at least for me is gunner, you have dodge that have chance to reset and you can use your HB to pull you from long distance that also is used for dodge in most of the situations even tho gunner is not the best dps, but that can be adjusted with gear and if you do not die in dungeons that is what makes you great dps.

Aman everything, They look good on each class, But Slayer, Zerk look best. Elin Sorc also amazing, Priest Baraka master race. Popori Slayer, Archer also fun & amazing. Female Elf Zerk one of the best. Casta female Warrior is the best, and you might call it best looking class. Female human also got fun emotes, dance, running animation, they look cool on costumes also.

almost forgot about the brawler and gunner! haha
i don't really mind learning to play the classes really. Based on my past experience, MMO's usually have the underwhelmed/underpowered classes. I just don't want to make a character and be useless in endgame. But i rather play the 2nd or even 3rd best class for each category say a dps-er and still be viable/needed in a party. (But be looking fabulous and magestic in the same time)
