[Berserker] Accessories
Okay zerkers, let's talk about accessories for this patch.
With the introduction of the pvp craftable jewelry, it's now possible to equip 3x [unique earring/ring and necklace] of the pve crit set (shadowvain), and 2x of the craftable pvp set of crit jewelry (shadowmaze). Knowing that for the most part, everyone will run 3x of the pve crit set (shadowvain), we can ignore those accessories for the problem at large that I will be presenting. We will be ignoring the pvp lines for the shadowmaze set, since obviously this is in the pve forum. I'm debating between 2 of the shadowmaze set versus 2 of the bloodvain set (the power accessories). The reason why this is important is because the secondary crit set is no longer locked into the restriction of having 1 2nd tier ring, and 1 2nd tier earring due to unique items.
Let's compare them:
Set bonus (2): Increases Crit Factor by 12
Total crit factor yield: 50 Crit Factor
Set bonus (2): Increases Power by 8
Total Power Yield: 28
Personally I always go with the original game balancing (MC patch) in the sense that the ratio for crit to power should always be 2:1. However, 50 crit factor is definitely not a slouch when it comes to hitting extremely high crit rates, so it's seeming like a much better prospect for the 2 piece jewelry set. Likewise, in previous patches, one of the drawbacks of going 3 crit new set, 2 crit old set was the fact that the ring did not have the same attack modifier on it, which was a big deciding factor on the jewelry choice, this patch does not have that drawback. Another deciding factor is how greatly crit factor ends up yielding diminishing returns at crit factors this high, as it surely must be large after hitting bonus 240+ crit factor. What do you guys think about the two sets in head to head comparison?
