Because this Mongo event is set up to support Kyra's Potion Shack, we wanted to run Mongos for a limited window. 3 p.m. PST is 11 p.m. GMT, so players in EU with more or less typical daily scheduled should still be able to catch the beginning of it. There are quite a few regions to consider for TERA, but of course we are the North American publisher, so we will always lean towards times that favor NA players.

In the case of additional time windows, we tried that last Mongo (Neon) and still got a variety of complaints. So in other words the time slot thing is a bit of a balancing act and we want to see how this one goes before making more decisions. We want to go with a method that benefits as many players as possible without running the event 24/7 (which would be OP).

Actually GMT is just UK, rest of EU is an hour or 2 hours ahead. So it starts at midnight or 1AM for all of them. And it ends at about 6AM. If anyone outside NA wants to do this event we have to stay up all night. I understand that its NA tera and its primarily got to be for NA players, but people outside NA do make up quite a bit of the population, catering to them every so often cant hurt that much. A limited time window is fine, but I would suggest theres a second one at a time more convenient for those that are not playing from NA.

but brazilians are outside NA and they play same hours than us
  • damn time zones... now all NA player get them motes :^D

enmasse appreciate the EU playerbase but they can't cater to you. the server is intended for NA players.
if i was playing in EU i wouldn't complain about events not being catered to me when I don't live in EU.

Again another douche, if we leave, you and your precious fellow NA players gonna cry over and over again for server merge and a dead game. Have your brain outta your [filtered] and think for a minute.

but if Eu sleeps during NA times how could NA miss Eu players? This is rather contradicting.

Your broker, mats, and a lot of things will go down, are you really saying that?

A simple concept for simple minded people, players from other regions are players too, they dedicate time, money too, they are profit too but w/e I say you don't understand, it needs brain.

Also I am not saying to give EU time, lol think for a minute, There was always, if you shitters were playing before, times were always scattered so anyone on any time could play, NA, EU, Asian, they all could participate. But as I see lack of brain makes this discussion hard to follow.

you repeatedly saying I don't understand your points because I don't have a brain is senseless at best and idiotic at worst. You have no point. If they want the event to run 7 hours a day and scatter the time to cater to global players, NA players have to suffer on their own server. Players from other regions play NA sure, but the majority is priority. If you don't like that you can go play on EU (which as I said earlier, you won't.), where you won't see any NA players asking for NA time scheduled events.

I am sorry, you have no point. you don't have bias. I can't handle idiots.

more like you cant handle expressing a point/view without name calling.

of coarse I am name calling, I am pretty much sure I have been more active than many of you, so I don't get your BS.

I know about complains, but one 7 hours long hunt brings more complains than several short times, short times can have mongo spawned more frequently too. I get to this later :D
  • Enmasse start do big mistakes like Gameforge, with this mentality ppl will leave NA servers, and after 2 years of playing here, make gear etc, is not so nice to leave all behind and move to EU servers. When i moved here, events was so nice, no time window, no stupid MP ,HP [filtered] like drop etc, but now, all events have time windows, why? because Enmasse want this events only for NA people, idk why they don`t block acces from other country, in this way will solve problem, no more complains, no more EU players, and NA ppl will be happy and can do again 24/7 events.

Your broker, mats, and a lot of things will go down, are you really saying that?

Europeans consume mats as well, and you have no data to suggest they provide more than they consume. You also have no data to prove Europeans are significant in population compared to NA; where as it had been stated NA does make a majority of the population with the rest being split globally. Unless of course you want to say you know more about the population than EME does, in which case, feel free to present your data.

Not all Europeans are even going to quit over not being catered to, as they are respectful enough to understand they are a guest here. Would they like times around their schedule? Of course, are they going to quit over it though? No. They choose EME over GF despite all these inconveniences for a reason.
  • the time slot should be shifted at least 3 hours early so people in the other half of the world can still participate. The time conforms to your time slot too living in us.

Don't assume so that easily. Pulling 3 hours earlier means it'd be 12pm ~ 7pm PST. I have either school or work from 8 am ~ 10 pm... that doesn't help in my case. I play around maybe 9 or 10 pm ~ 2 am, so I need it shifted 3 hours later.

A guest on the internet, you're hilarious. Plainly.

Also for all those opposed to migrating to a better place, a little history. Don't feel so bad about yourselves, you didn't invent being entitled and so ridiculously proud over little. They had (and still have of course) it in Europe too !
  • Wow, someone actually tried to bring racism to the argument (despite no one being racist in this discussion).

Threads over folks, nothing to see here but name-calling and entitlement.

    LOOOOOL

comparing a video game event to racism and colonization oh my god LMAO
if this ain't the funniest sh*t right here, holy smokes.

look man, you just don't understand, if it doesn't cater to me directly it's racist.... don't ask why or how, it just is.
also the fact that mongos can drop motes? homophobic tbh.

I'm from EU as well, and I'm getting kinda tired of these "go home" arguments (if you can even call this an argument).
I've been playing since Tera got released on Steam, so for quite a while. Luckily ingame I hardly ever encounter any people at all that voice a similar opinion as certain NA players on the forums.
From what I can see ingame (at least on TR) there's a wide variety of players from all over the globe. My guild (of which I am the leader) always has older guildies leave and newer join, and I'd say about half of them if not more are not from NA.
If NA Tera would listen to those certain NA players on the forums and close their gates for anyone outside the US, my guess would be that this would instantly go along with a server merge.

As for being called a guest here, I can live with that. But let me just tell you, when I invite other people to my home, and many even bring presents (aka spending money on the game), the last thing that would come to my mind is telling them: "gtf out of here, don't you have a house of your own?" O.o

Exactly, it doesn't matter what the ratio of NA to Other (EU, SEA, wherever) players is, you will lose a lot of the player base and considering that people are already crying about the game being dead, imagine how it would be after such a change.
