looking for mature players to play casually

i played the game when it first launched, but i havent played since then. just recently decided i wanted to give playing online and socializing a try. previously i always played games alone. my main problem is that im shy, and am terrible at small talk. im really only good at having actual conversations. and my favorite topics or ones that arent the most popular like politics, religion, society as a whole, culture, nature, anime/games (more serious ones), and sewing. anyway, im not great at mmo's, but im not horrible either. oh but i am horrible at pvp, so thats never gonna happen.

anyway. id love to find a guild, or group of people to play and chat with. fair warning though i wont be playing a whole bunch, maybe an hour or two a day. i cant really afford to put a ton of time into game, got real life going on. im really looking to make actual friends online though. anywho, i hope someone is interested.

    Might I ask what server you are on? The guild I am currently in (and the G.M of) is small and tightly knit- but we are active, and recruiting new and veteran players. Alot of us recently left larger guilds due to similar reasons as yours, stated above. "shy, terrible at small talk, etc" which shouldn't impede your leveling/gearing progress. You don't have to play extended amounts of time to progress in endgame, and it's no issue with us. We provide class tips/mechanics/crafting tips/ etc as well.

    Iruka, im not on a server yet. i just installed it, havent created a new character yet. my old character is on Fey Forest, shes a lvl 25 archer. i may or may not use her, im undecided as of right now. im at least gonna make another character to learn how to play the game again, ive forgotten almost everything. im not great at small talk, but i am looking to try to make friends primarily to socialize, not just to lvl. just to clarify.

    im thinking ill join tempest reach, since its pve and less busy it seems.

    With that being said, friends and socializing is a big aspect of our group (since we are all primarily friends within it.) Our guild, The Kool Katz, is on TR and I can confirm that it is a nice server (myself once on AV and MT).

    Iruka, that sounds pretty nice then. alrighty ill make myself a character and message you. also love the name kool kats lol reminds me of one of my favorite mangas (cat street)

    oh and a question. can you transfer costume items that arent soul bound yet to another character? my old character has quite a few items that id love to keep. or is there a way to reset my character so that i can start fresh and keep my items?

    If that item is in the Item claim, yes it is shared between characters regardless of server.
    If you took that item out of item claim and have it in a char's inv (ex. Trancy has an elin cosmetic costume on MT. You want to send it to Mary on AV.) You can't do that without a server transfer that transfers both the character and their inventory; sadly. There is no way to reset your character.

    I might add that the server transfer does require EMP in your account to do so. Below is a link to where they list details of server transfers is, if that's something you'd care to do.

    damn. then my character and all her stuff in stuck in fey forest, that really sucks. i guess ill have to start completely fresh without any of my old items.

    Don't worry, with the kyra event going on; you'll have loads of cosmetics/spellbinds/feedstock in no time.

    The kyra event (or mongo event) started valentines and will proceed until Feb 28th. The Mongo's start at 3pm-10pm Pacific Time.

    Yes! My user is Salty.Prince (lvl 65 ninja). Or, you can simply send a message to the guild, and we can start from there. When you are in game, go to your list of menu UI and next to the chat bubble icon, is a blue flag icon. You can search for guilds there.
