    Reduce safezones - eliminate all but towns and dungeon teleportals.
    Introduce incentive to get out of safezones. Make OW BAMs drop neat loot rarely? Make crafting worthwhile and force people to farm materials? Remove teleports to dungeons?
    I'd dig a PvP-server kill quest where you have to kill X many other players (within ilvl?) for a reward, increase number needed if in a group.

    Tera Online was always 50% on each side, PvE and PvP.
    Why the hell do you think when Tera Online came out every one loved it so damn much? You think it was for the PVE only? Don't make me laugh.
    You can only do End game content so long be for getting bored and leaving. But wait, the player base also has PvP, and with this combat system, hem...

    Point is, Tera Online for NA has always been about Both worlds, and it had a large player base for both worlds.
    Enmass decided that NA version of Tera Online is not worth keeping all the NA fix's so we could enjoy both sides of the river.
    So now, we are stuck with update after update, turning the game into K-tera dead version of PVP.
    Ever wonder why each patch is full of game breaking fix's for PvP? Almost as if they want to murder this type of content?

    Well wonder no longer, this is no longer Na-Tera, this is K-tera!
    So enjoy the idea of how Tera is not a pvp centric game when you have no player base at all.
    Enjoy the PVE content when every one leaves after they run the hard modes 20 times in a row.

    Give you a run down on how to fail a game, one second..

    1) PVE content is lacking! (Reused content with some added fluff on top)
    2) PvP content is dead! ( Power hour is not content or a fix, it's a breath mask, so you can live a little bit longer)
    3) Leveling Content is dead! ( What i mean by this is, no reason to quest or do any real content, you speed run in a day or less.)
    4) Crafting is dead! ( All mmo's do crafting in a fun way, mostly. Or in a way to make money! Not Tera Online tho..)
    5) World PvP is dead! ( So many ways you could fix this, i could type an essay on it, but i wont, why even bother..)
    6) Gender/race Classes! ( I understand why they only do female, but i will never understand why they wont allow people to use whatever race they want, just stupid and a waste of my time and the players time.)

    At the end of the day, you are right, it is pointless to try and revive PvP content with a game that is already 90% broken and dead with all the other content it try's to provide. But hey, i can dream right?

    I also remember a time when people would say Tera was dead, or dying. I would defend it and tell them they are [filtered].
    I had facts and Logic on my side at the time, and pretty much could debate any one on this and just over all put them in there place.
    Sadly, i cant say the same today, or last week... or last year.

  • ..Oh yes there is.. but the devs don't give a damn about that. Also you claim CU was dead? For the first few weeks it was quite alive before it got killed by, guilds who made special alliances with one another and targeted specific other guilds to claim victory and all the rewards only to engorge and feed themselves while everyone else suffered. rather then being a free for all death match where you and your guild Are on your own on a battle field not entirely designed for huuge Zerg swarms to win but careful planned out strategies and Tactics and actions the capturing and holding certain objectives and then killing your enemies and using maybe even velichiels to siege and destroy one another's castles In a. Huuuuge maaap so big with awesome bams with mechanics daily quests quests etc...

    None of that nope instead we got run around Velika go kill your enemies castle..And of course it didn't take long to abuse the [filtered] out of that system or the spawn times for bams and make it so that only certain Guilds were getting ambush and huge amounts of gold and becoming over the top powerful meanwhile everyone else dwindled away sat in poverty and gave up.

    Small guilds stood no chances so they were bullied by the big guilds to "help me kill this guild and I'll let you live a little bit longer." Imperial guardsmen tactics were used 100% of the time with no strategies other then "when in doubt throw more men at it.

    If enmasse was smarter and worked longer. On making a battle ground that made sense one that wasn't so closely interwoven to one another. and wasn't soo [filtered] small with objectives and goals and points in things other then going around destroying the big pretty castle or whoever has more numbers wins all the rewards they could ever want.

    Then, CU would of been in a much much better place But alas, BHS and enmasse are [filtered] brain dead and can't come up with any original [filtered] ideas or borrow from the already good ones out there and instead gave us a [filtered] Zerg fest .decided only by whoever had more people they could throw at other people or send them out in gloriouse Tyranid levels of swarming over eeeveeerytthiiiinnngg.

    Most victories weren't even earned by strategy they were earned by "I have more people I send my whole army out to go crush the weak and watch them die." Is it any wonder CU turned out to be a failure?, The first day it got released i t was bugged because BHS didn't to get their [filtered] together for enmasse second day bugged 3rd day.. you guessed it BUUGGGGEEED

    4th wasn't long till people found out how to abuse the system biggest guild is always destined to win... Always whoever can intimidate,manipulate,control, use, turn their allies into fodder for them and whatever else wins. that's all it amounted to backstabbers,liars traitors,

    ending with the strong doing what they can, and the weak suffering what they must.

  • PvP won't be coming back in a positive light anytime soon. EME is selling out at this point and doesn't give two f*cks about its playerbase or how they feel about the changes made.

Other games and genres offer you much more diversity and overall satisfaction, and also you don't need to queue for hours in order to get into pvp battleground. Not to mention that Tera is already very old game, which offers nothing new in terms of combat mechanisms or organization. Real PvP games allow you to think of strategies, what can possibly counter what and so on, Tera and most mmos offer nothing like that.
    MMORPG like Tera in general is not the best genre for pvp, unless it is optimized especially for it and majority of the changes cater to pvp. Which is clearly not the case of Tera, nor it has ever been. At this point, I share the view, which also the devs have, that it is useless to spend resources into it. Large scale pvp in Tera have been dead for ages, they tried to revive it by putting CU, but still nobody cares to do it. BG are dead and nobody does them, since they became impossible to queue in more than 2 people and only 65. But if you let people under 65 who are largely incompetent, the dungeon is a source of unhappiness and frustration. Open world pvp is reduced to staying and trashtalking from safe zones.
    There's nothing really you can do to save pvp.

    Where to start with this..

    When talking about gear for PvP, your idea is if you don't have the BIS gear, you cant do pvp well, you wont win any fights, ect. This is a [filtered] line that i've heard for years, even back in the day with +12 was a hardcore thing in Tera.
    Does BIS gear help you in pvp? Sure! Do you need BIS gear to beat some one in a fight with it? No!

    You know how many times people with BIS gear came up to me, to fight. And i would just end them with out getting touched, or at lest 25% or above in health. Tera makes a very good PvP game, it takes Skill to win, not just gear.
    As long as some one (say, this patch) has a full Con set, jewls ect and knows how to play the class, they can do wonders.

    And do try to remember, that when i am speaking about PvP, fighting, ect.
    I'm not speaking about bad players, i am talking about people who can fight.

    As for how long it takes to get gear, it ain't that long as you say.
    As i said be for you don't need the BIS gear at all to pvp, or enjoy your self.
    Farming a full CON set would take 3 weeks at best, sooner if you have alts (Once more, if pvp was working)

    Tera always felt like a good game for PVP / World pvp, it was always fun and took skill or group game play to be good at it. Sadly, it ain't the players who killed it, or don't want to play it, like you think for some reason.

    Let me break this down for you, the players of Tera Online want PvP, they want PvP content!
    I can tell you think you know the reasons why Pvp died, you keep talking about how Bluehole puts in pvp content and the players ignore it or just don't do it, let me explain why.

    World pvp was always kicking back in the day of Queen, you ever wonder why? Vits!
    Yes my friend, vits are powerful items you needed to have the best gear in the game.
    Wait you say? People did tons of world pvp just to grind out VM items in WORLD PVP? Amazing how something so simple, can get people outside of towns huh?

    Remember when leveling was a thing and people could quest, join up for bams and over all just enjoy them selfs?
    I remember, sadly most do not. When i level, i love fighting other players, or even if its 1v2 i would still go in and have fun, people forget that's the point of the game. But the Devs wanted to rush us to 65 now, so why even quest. That also means no players in zones and that also means no world pvp for lowbies.

    Battle grounds, CS and Fraywind, remember when every one did both? For good rewards and dailys? Was a good way to grind out VM gear or mid set pvp gear. Oh but wait, what happen to it, did the players just stop doing it? Did they get sick of it, bored? Nope! Killed CS by making a Lowbie mode in the first place, only 65. Killed fraywind with taking out our GEAR that we work so hard for. Only a dumb [filtered] would think the changes they allowed (Enmass) to come to Na-Tera Online would help the PvP system. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it)

    After reading all of this, i know you're wondering, if it ain't the players fault, then who messed up my game?
    Well, you already know, don't you? Same people who keep the Elin outfits Online running.

    But hey, don't worry, i can fix all of this and make Tera Online one of the best free MMOS right now, in matters of sceonds. You ready? ok!

    CS (Level 30-65 now, with given gear, crystals. Mostly rewarded with BC points, with the daily also for BC points)

    Fraywind (65 only, given gear for people who are below a set i-lvl. People above set i-lvl are able to use whatever gear they like. KS daily and this mode will mostly reward KS.)

    Kuma ( Taken out of the game, trash mode with no reason to play at all, and only gives new players the wrong idea of pvp)

    Tanks (Keep it, its fun once in a while and wont effect other modes. Nothing crazy, maybe put in a daily for some cool prizes)

    Grid ( Trash mode, always was, always will be)

    World PvP ( New gear set patch, ect. Focus on some of the Mats Mid set to VM set being found from bams and PvE normal content. Bams will only be found in Pvp zones, maybe spawned around the world at random, ect You can pretty much go nuts with this idea, and people will love it. And most of all, they wont sit in towns all day..)

    As for Alliance and this awful mode CU.
    ( Alliance was always fun back in the day, and the reason why it died was lack of support from the dev team. They never added anything to it. CU is just god awful, no one liked it at all and it had the worst feedback then anything else, maybe nexus a close second.)

    Point is, Bring alliance back, put in REAL rewards and balance it more with less power up [filtered] and make it a bit more skill/gear based. Many games have done it be for, Tera can do it as well.

    So, if you took the time to read all of this out (may god help you..)
    This is how you can fix every single reason why PvP is dead now, and you may have notice..half of the things is changing the content back to the way it was, when every played and had fun getting rewards and just over all ranking system.

    To put this to rest, i love Tera, i played it from the start, the only reason i am still here is to check out the new class, try to play tera (Via questing) one more time, do the whole end game [filtered] and just enjoy my self, then quit.

    But like you said, Tera online PvP ain't worth playing at this point, but with all the changes? I could see my self and many others looking at that battle ground icon. Sadly. with all the dumb [filtered] patch's to make the game 100% like Korean version, you wont ever have PvP back to being what it once was. Enmass already showed the players they don't care or will put the effort so we can keep NA-Patch fix's for our version.

    Many better MMO'S out side of this one, and i will enjoy getting on games older then this, and still have a working Pvp system, open world pvp, and over all better PVE content. The worst part about all of this, is the fact that Tera Online had something good going for it, but the way Koreans run the game, is just so messed up from a NA based view. If this game came out, In NA and a NA company made all the new patchs, content updates, ect. It would still be going strong right now!

    When new players join, and they see that we don't have any world pvp.
    We don't even have any real PvP modes to test out or enjoy as we level.
    When they see that they don't even have to do the PVE content and can just spam dungeons until 65.
    A lot of people who player RPGS for the sake of RPGS will just walk away.
    Like i said be for, many other things we could be playing, cheaper too!

    I think in the end of the day, this is no longer a RPG and it has become just a fast food take out version of a MMO.
    I rather go to a nice place to eat, read the menu.
    Maybe order some sides, just over all enjoy the music in the background.

    I love the combat in Tera Online, It makes PvP content fun as heck. But that can only carry so far...

    I just came back to the game and really wanted to get back into it and Mt is completely void of any kind of actual pvp so i looked around and found that they have daily Vo raids with like 20+ people and a gvg thats currently at 1500-1000. It's not as large a scale as the Man Up Vs Gf video but it's the most active on na servers in terms of pvp.

    Why arent people queueing for bgs as much as they used to back then? Because there was incentives back then in the pvp scene. It wasnt all because they needed to grind gear for pvp. Matter of fact, people didnt even give a [filtered] about perfect rolls or full +12 set. All they needed was stun duration earring and some proper crystals and they were good to go. Most people were already going in 3v3 because they believe their gear is good enough. So queueing for bgs wasnt even about gearing up honestly. It was more because there was a reason to it. Like in the pvp community everyone knows if you got that Bloodsoaked title, youre a legend. Well, was, faneofkaprimalulz. But yeah it was mostly for that. For leaderboards. For glory and to show people they are good. To prove themselves to others and not bcus they needed "mats to craft vm8 to pve with it lol".

    Now we dont even have that. Vm8 so ez to get. We got +15 enchantment scroll. Where are the queue pops? None lol cus it was never about the gear to begin with. Only the good players wants to queue. The inexperienced ones stay inexpd, and the game stays the same and its dead in pvp

    Tldr if u want bgs to be alive. Make an incentive
    1. Make laurels only attainable through elo. Like if youre champion laurel youre rank 1-10 in 1 of the bgs, diamond rank 11-50, gold 50-100, silver bronze idk its w/e just an example
    2. Make another glowing title attainable thru rank 1-10 in selected bgs
    3. Return leaderboards. There is no reason to even try to be good at the game without it. Everyones just fking around lol
    4. Make pvp events... we dont need that mongo [filtered]. That lags the server, its arguably boring, not fun to watch streams that says "Tera event!!! Mongo farming" because thats such an attractive gameplay right

  • @Kosami i dont think that eme is to blame for lack of pvp. Eme just delivers what the players want. 90% of players are PVE mains, so obviously more pve and farming events. imo, if bhs took anythign away from bgs or w/e it would be seen as killing pvp (ex; taking stuff out the bg shop that ppl don't even buy). Yes i do agree that tera is gravitating towards a pve game, but thats because most of the community is pve oriented ;/.

    i miss leaderboards too, but realize that pvp isnt the only thing affected by boards. pve'rs could've got high ranks for good runs and [filtered].

    tbh, alot of the titles in bgs are hard as they are to get tbh (ex: black admir, bloodsoaked, etc)
