With the little detail it has to currently offer, I'm hoping to see these current aspects in the game:
    - Open-world Lore and Exploration
    - Gathering/Farming, Crafting and Trading
    - Don't let the housing aspect be like Archeage, where houses just clutter everywhere
    - "Questing in our world combines the best elements of traditional MMO’s as well as the introduction of our unique player driven experiences." <-- This needs to mean no story quests, because story quests are a turn off. I'd rather have a my story.
    - "PvP mechanics follow a flagging system" <--- This is... Okay, I guess. I would assume it would be similar to BnS's Factions or PWI's Sage or Demon. I'd rather have it similar to GvG than factions though... (Edit: Q: Are there factions?
A: No. This is a non-faction based game. Players are open to interact with anyone and everyone. <-- From Q&A, so yay, no factions.)
    - I love the concept of Caravans and Trade, because this is my time to collect rare items while they are hot.

I hope for the best, honestly. Only thing I fear is race/gender/weapon-style lock classes since that hasn't been mentioned anywhere as of yet.
  • Here is a video by DeathProxy who has been keeping a sharp eye on development.

Considering its too soon to say anything yoynoevrhyping a new MMORPG that not much is known about is quite annoying as by now most of us have seen the his [filtered] a 1000 times by now.. I'm going to end with this.

"Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment."
  • from the clues I got from the video I think this will be a p2w type deal. I feel like its going to be a mix between entopia universe and bdo, but without the converting game money into real money.
  • It's actually subscription based. It won't be pay to win. The creator isn't wanting that at all.

I'll try any MMO with action-based combat to get away from TERA.. :( .. let's 'ave a look..

from what i've seen so far AoC uses a sort of tab-target based combat

    Tab target? ...awwh.

I honestly would rather play God Eater and other MH-esque games than revert back to tab-target.

According to their discord (where the creators are), he mentions that it's an action combat game, but it gives you more of an ability to lock on your targets while you fight, similar to locking targets in TERA but without the target being constantly high-lighted. So fighting in default, you have the ability to move your camera with your character and attacks are made by rotational your camera/character and not by auto-pathing each move.

He also mentions that this works well with healers and support classes that will be offered to play as in the game. As they mentioned before, there has over 64 classes, 8 base classes in general and 8 races at launch. All having their own lore, racial abilities and as all hoped, no gender/race locking.
