Elite vs just buying what I want

Aside from broker fees and some extra gold is elite worth the money or is it better just to drop $100+ bucks for 12,000 EMP and go shopping for what I like , gear and storage slots etc . Just looking at the store it seems you can pay a price once and get the bulk of you quality of life items upfront and it's done.

  • IMO main perks of elite includes, but not limited to, no broker fees, double dungeon entries, double credit, unlimited nostrum and atlas/journal (in no particular order), of which double dungeon entries would be the most beneficial with the currently limited specific reset scrolls. If you don't play a lot daily but still don't want to fall behind, selling emp to gear up would be much faster, but if you do spend a good amount of time in game then having elite sub would be more convenient.
    You can always do both.

Well, although it's much harder to find these days, if you're willing to spend some money, the best investment is to try to find an old unused retail copy of the game somewhere and get the serial key to get Founders Edition access, which raises your characters slots to 8 per server, bank slots to 4 per server, and a few other nice-to-haves. It isn't actively sold anymore though, so you have to try to find through reputable resellers; it's tricky.

Other than that... I always say that the broker fees are the benefit that has the potential to pay for Elite entirely, if you're willing to work at it. It can even be used to pay for Elite itself, albeit indirectly via a voucher from someone else who paid for it. Most of the rest of the Elite benefits are convenience oriented, but many of them can be acquired via in-game means one way or another.

Given that you're willing to put some money down, it may be safer to start with a smaller amount rather than trying to dump a whole bunch at once, particularly if you're not 100% sure about the server you want to stay on, the class you like best, etc. Many of the items bind to the server or character, and can't be transferred, so it may not be a good idea to spend too much on a character when you're just getting started. In that sense, Elite may be a better investment for beginners, since it does have a number of useful conveniences while leveling.
  • Gear changes every patch, but yeah bank / char slots are permanent. Speculation about next gear lunch is may.

There are more perks to elite than just some extra gold. Double the dungeons u can run is one of them. Moving instantly w.o the fee. And having 5 teleport spots. Being able to spam more stuff at dungeon events. Free nostrum. They are little perks that add up and are very useful. Can u live without them? Yes ofc. But they do make life a lot easier. Selling something on TB w.o elite is insane lose. Imagine u need to reprice it few times since it may not sell. I would say elite is worth it. Once u go elite u never go back that's my saying. Tho I buy it with ingame gold so it's harder to say in ur case.

If u can afford it go for elite. Gear comes easy. Mid tier anyway. EMP rate on TR at least is 1:35-40 so even that isn't enough for an ambush weapon depending on class. Tho prices are dropping quickly cuz of the event with +15 scrolls... No point buying imperator this late.

If u want mid gear go elite + use difference to get the rest of what u want expansion wise + farm mid gear obviously. Join a guild that helps u run stuff to get guile. Depends on what u want. Even if u get guile/vm by buying it don't really expect to access everything end game wise instantly. Rookie tag will still set u back on HH / RMH.

There's also the fact elite gets reset scrolls for all the dungeons for free every day, meaning it effectively quadruple dungeons entries.

The 15$ for Elite Status is better than 15$ worth of EMP, even if it stops you from getting 100$, and the 20% bonus. Elite Status doesn't require you to play several hours a day to provide more use.

Thanks everyone. Looks like ill just go elite and maybe buy a few convenience items . It seems like the best balance. Hopefully they will let me buy elite for many months in advance vs monthly. I saw we can buy 90 days Via EMP though..but its more expensive it seems.

If you are really p2w, you can't get your BiS with only 100$. You will need way more than this.
For normal players though elite is very important, since it gives you double entry in dungeons

Not really PTW though since im strictly PVE and not really winning against anyone but myself. + Most of what I was looking for are inventory slots, bling armour and weapons vs trying to become UBER warrior guy with real cash. I pay for subs in ESO and I payed in Swtor since its release. So Subs are definitely something i am happy to do.

Just wondered if this game was one of those you can either Buy everything or sub and get it. ESo gives you ll the dlc with a sub.. but you lose access to the DLC if you stop paying for ESO plus if you dont buy it. So i went ahead about just bought it instead.

1 last question because Google just isnt answering it. I see i can buy 3 months of Elite with EMP, can i do the same just buying Elite normally? Buy 3-6 months at a time?

If you really can afford to spent $100 on elite you can buy EMP and you will have 12k.

Then you use them for 2 3 months and 1 month elite vouchers.

This way you will get Reward Points that will increase your rank on emporium and when you get to rank 2 you will have access to emporium shop, where you can use the reward credits you earn when you spend EMP.

Also Elite will give you daily one elite gift box which could have random stuff and if you are super lucky you could get customes, mounts and pets from there (I got my Felicity pet in one of those).

7 months elite + Reward Points + Reward Credits feels better than 6 months throught suscription for almost the same amount of money.

100$=12000 emp=480000 golds, so i think you can buy imperator weapon with that :3

else it is the half of the way to get ambush weapon ;)
