Paysens Poem.
Make these Bankable or remove them from inventory. Why must we even keep these? I find it annoying to alloys click and drag away just to throw them away. It serves no purpose to keep them on us.
I think it's time for you to play another MMO. You start off with 10 slots and get gifted like 1 at a time. In other MMOs, you have to pay gold for your first mount. In other MMOs, there are no loot pets at all.
Perhaps you didn't catch the concept of a free-to-play MMO. We get to play the basics for free and pay for the extras. Because money doesn't fall from the sky to finance BHS/EME. And little by little, even Baldera will be opened.
The Dazzler
Now, I myself am not entirely huge on the pvp concept as it is today. However, when I first started playing this game in 2015, in my perspective as a new player the pvp environment was much more open than it is now as well as more challenging and healthier.
For me it was open world pvp capable on all servers regardless of it being listed as a pve server or not. The Outlaw skill made that available. I actually remember a bounty hunting system that lasted no more than a month when I first started for what ever reason no longer exist. Perhaps it was exploited.
Now, this is my first mmo and I don't wish to bring in comparison to other mmo's in advance on this topic. My sole concern is only this game, this mmo. Even though I am not huge into pvp at this time and space in the game. I was more active into the pvp element when I first started. In my perspective it was much more healthier than it was before.
So the focus of this sub section thread is for obvious reasons on what can be done to bring back the healthier pvp element to open world.
Ideas in the past where discussed from other users, however the “risk and reward” system of pvp was not put much focus on at large. This is something from my last huge comment on pvp that someone showed an interest in. What we have right now are large scale pvp “BG's” and the “30 man raid”. As far as open world pvp, that element is missing for all levels.
In my perspective open world pvp should not be limited to only maximum level. It should be made available to all. From my experience the Outlaw skill allowed you to turn on your pvp element on any server at anytime with in the exception of safe zones.
What did I find challenging about PVP while leveling during PVE?
Well, it challenged me as a player to pay more attention to my surroundings, to keep an eye out for that outlaw whose sole intent was to kill other players, no matter the level. To be on the run, the focus of survival, and to skirt danger when I know I could get smashed at any moment, thrilled me. The beginning stages of lumbertown and Celestial Hills area were always the most challenging in the beginning. In my perspective and experience it made the game feel more alive as it also encouraged me to explore more of my area, to learn ways to get by them. I felt like actually trying harder to defend myself once I became more familiar with my class skills and often did sneak attacks, regardless of the obvious outcome. At a point I would eventually, team up with a party of people that also were pveing, when an outlaw showed their face of equal level. Sometimes there was more than one. It was actually fun. It was worth doing pvp open world in my perspective.
The one draw back to open world pvp was that there was no actual risk and reward system. You got no sort of reward for taking out an outlaw of equal level or higher, you got no reward period. The risk of being an outlaw was not there either. The MP and HP was hardly a threat to any outlaw. One could simply put up a campfire or go to some safe zone with one and heal up. There was no real incentive for open world pvp other than the 'aspect' of personal fun. There was no community reward for open world pvp. It simply perhaps was not thought of.
Let's do another rehash at open world pvp. Let's see what we can do to encourage Tera to consider bring back something that the majority actually miss. Yet let's consider bringing forth the risk and reward aspects that the community as a whole would appreciate.
On every server there is the pve element. The difference between the pve server and the pvp server should be the open world pvp system. On pve servers the open world pvp element simply should not exist. The option of servers allows you the choice to have open world pvp or no open world pvp. At present all servers are equally the exact same with the exception of lvl 65 pvp servers.
Level 65 outlaw pvp servers: are the most uneducated, nonthoughtout, idea to be had. A majority of the community base that favor open world pvp have expressed this. They chose pvp servers before the change to have that open world pvp system.
Now, even before this change still all servers were exactly the same due to the outlaw skill. The outlaw skill, should only be used on pvp servers.
Illogical: pve servers with outlaw skill making open world pvp possible on a pve server.
Logical: Fixed and no longer applies: good change.
Illogical: pvp servers with no open world pvp, Outlaw skill unaccessible until you reach level 65.
Logical: -empty-
The focus of this subsection is about the following
PVP Server Healthy Return Options for open world pvp. Applies to PVP servers only.
A. The Outlaw- A choice must be made at level 12 once you reach Velika.
In my perspective the Outlaw, could be part of the Lore System involving the Argons. The Outlaw could be on the same side as Samael. The Outlaws job is to help the Argons take over the world. The Outlaw would receive Outlaw quest from Samael (until he dies) which would essentially be against other players that are against the Argons.
If you chose to be an outlaw, your skills would change in comparison to that of that regular class skills. Your skills would be taught by the Argons.
The Risk of being an Outlaw is:
If you are killed you will drop loot.
B. Dropping of Loot (Risk and Reward System)
Dropping of Loot could happen in combination of 2 of 4 ways randomly
1 based on what you have in your inventory according to item level based on character level.
2 should your inventory be empty. You will drop a crystal* or gear*, or accessories*.
3 Tier Feedstock of 100 of BiS gear, Spellbind of 40 of BiS gear, Master Enigmatic Scrolls of 10 of BiS gear. Would drop randomly. ( This will always happen on death. Just as if you where a boss in a dungeon)
4 Based on the amount of gold you have in inventory, inventory meaning on person. You will drop 30% of your total value.
*Any gear bound Dyad will be reset to default allowing the Victor to pick up the Dyad for his/her own gear instead. (your loss)
*Any Soul bound Accessorry will be reset to default as if picked up for the first time by the victor thus allowing them a chance to have a better accessory. Crafted Brooches will drop the design, not the brooch. (The Victor will not be that lucky to have end game gear already crafted for them.)
*Any gear dropped will be reset as if picked up for the first time. (The victor will not be that lucky, they will have to enchant it themselves or craft it themselves, however like in any dungeon they will have a chance for some enchantement +1 to +4)
**Note ambush and above will drop designs. The Victor will not be that lucky to exploit the system. The Victor will have to still get those materials needed to craft that gear and enchant it.
C If you are an outlaw, you are forever an outlaw. You have sword an oath to the Argons. Essentially you have become an Argon. Though in time Lore shows that Manaya was defeated. However like any otherworldly technology. She can infact be reconstructed and perhaps even made stronger with your help.
As an Outlaw, you will have that special Argon look. The Higher the level you are, the stronger the enfluential look you will have. (This possibly includes your costumes they too shall be effected with the Argons influence.)
The reward for being an Outlaw.
On death you are automatically resurrected in Manaya's Core. Full Health and MP. There will be a Argon banker there allowing you the opportunity to refix your loss should you have any on back up.
Upon each successful kill equal to you will gain infamy, they higher your infamy the harder you are to kill. You get an endurance and defence buff when combat starts by 2, your crit power would increase by 1.00. (the same buff elite status gets, if you have elite status this simply increases.)
D If you are an outlaw and kill another outlaw, the risk and reward system still applies. However, you will be placed on a bounty hunting system. This bounty list could be found under any NPC Titled Black Market.
E If you are an Outlaw, you being marked with the Argons influence is an automatic marker allowing that that are not to target you. If you are on the bounty system, the risk reward system applies +Titan's Ease x2 and Titan's Fire x2 as a reward. (Basically the reward for the victor accepting the bounty is higher.)
Note: teleporting to turn in or accept your reward is fine if you have elite. If you do not have elite you must travel to claim your reward no exceptions. PVP + Traveling for it.
If you are not an outlaw, the risk and reward system applies to you also. However you cannot attack a player that is not an outlaw. Dueling is next best option to someone that is not an outlaw.
Note: risk and reward system does not apply to dueling.
