    Why the change of legendary rewards? If it wasn't broken why fix it? People were literally dropping the raid I was in today once they saw crystal boxes. No one wants to run around the map trying to get to the bams before they are killed (that's if you made it to one before it was killed tonight) for TWO catalysts. I can waste my time in SSNM and get a box that way, or I could have spent my night in Fraywind for the power hour event.

    ALSO let me point this out. When they changed the loot drops for the common mongo's so that motes no longer drop but instead 5 personal rare alkahest, ccb, and amethysts. Eme must've reduced the drop rate percentage for catalyst drops as well. I seen the difference right away. I've been farming common mongo's (uncommon/rares if i found them) everyday for hours each day aside from when I did the legendary bams. I've noticed a huge difference today. It was so bad that within two hours of farming before the legendary bams spawned I had only collected 13 catalysts. That wasn't from a lack of finding mongo's either as they were spawning just as much as they were yesterday. Also, when I found three uncommon mongo's that usually drop a wack alkahest, potions, and catalysts. They dropped no catalysts at all. Maybe it was just bad luck. It still doesn't explain the reduced overall amount of catalysts I got today when I was finding the same amount of mongo's as I did yesterday. Instead what I got most today was a load of amethysts, and rare personal alkahest. I liked the small loot list of just potions and catalysts. Even if they dropped motes from time to time. At least when something did drop it was something good. I stopped farming today because of the changes over night to the common/uncommon/rare mongo's and If the legendary rewards remain the same the turnout tomorrow will be bad. I will probably opt out as well.

    Suggestions:
    1)Return the legendary rewards to 2 catalysts, catalyst box, 3 scales, and 40 supercede. NO ONE complained about these rewards. It actually brought people in to participate.
    2)Bring back yesterday's legendary bams 99% hit ones or the bams previously that were more difficult to kill. That way it's not being killed within a minute without everyone being able to get to the location and participate. These bams tonight were being killed so fast that I didn't have the chance to JUST teleport with my village atlas and change to the correct channel.
    3)Increase the catalyst drop percentage for the common mongo's again. When you replaced the motes with three new items it seems as tho the catalyst aren't dropping nearly as often. Unless of course this was intentional on your part and you actually reduced the percentage of catalysts altogether.

The event was planned in advance so that each day would be a different experience (different times within the range, different legendary mobs, etc.), and they're also changing the loot tables to do things like remove motes. And as a result some of the changes go over very poorly. In any case, hopefully they have time to take the feedback into consideration for future days. But even with feedback, it's not always trivial to turn around and change the next day's programming across all servers on a dime; you basically have to look at what you were already programmed to do and see how you can tweak it quickly. Yesterday's mobs were an experiment in doing something different, but it didn't mean they could instantly change the whole rest of the event. Today it looks like they focused on tweaking the loot, to mixed results.

    This is how I imagine EME trying to figure out how the game works after years.

    I'm pretty sure they'd be the first to tell you that this is actually how the game's backend systems work. We all see how "well" the client works; the same company built the server/publisher tools...

    @Spacecats Event was a good one, Thank you for that, but the problem is it started with huge rewards and then it got lower in a point which was disheartening, so I think for further events, starting with average rewards and it some points, some huge rewards ( Like Legendary event) and at the end lower rewards. would be nicer.
  • @Spacecats In another forum you said that the event was changed to erase the HP/MP motes that people found to be "drops [that] weren't very satisfying". But you drop Amethyst and CCB's that are worth 30gold each. These weren't at all satisfying. I hunted every day before today. I ended up finding a Rare Mongo Today only to see that 6 out of 10 drops were a Stack of 10 Powders!!! Like what is that? Why am I getting stacks of 10 powders when i used to get Stacks of 40 Powders or 1 Kyra before?

    These drops were a spit in our face. And it honestly made me feel like you didn't care enough to think about what the mongos dropped. I don't want to see a useless CCB or a shiny Amethyst drop. We all know that the real benefit to farming Mongos (rather than mindlessly running SSNM/LKNM) was for the incredible Strong Potions. Yet now I don't get potions from common mongos or Kyra's from Rare/Uncommon Mongos.

    The event was good before, - it wasn't "broken" nor was it terrible. People had to work for the benefits of the Potions/Kyras.

    The changes were truly horrible.

    It's times like these I'm reminded of the Player Council. They assembled a team of "expert players" yet refuse to use it for what it could be best at.

    People complaining about not finding mongos and being nerfed in regards to spawn rate, I don't think this is the case. It depends if there are a lot of people in the same area and sometimes you have to know where to go. If you don't find anything for a while, switch channels or go to a different map and then come back. During the 1st hour, I found like 10 uncommons, 2 rares and a lot of uncommons but then the 2nd hour I only found one uncommon and a lot less uncommons. It gets a bit tricky when more people start farming. The common mongo change is nice actually. But the legendary time was a big disappointment, especially for a lot of us who waited 3-4 hours prior.

    Simple don't change something thats already satisfying. Nothing hard in not doing that.
  • Just make the legendary like it was on Wednesday, when the hp bar would stay 99% and the loot was a cata chest.
    Everyone was happy. Or just rotate through the last bosses except the one yesterday who dies in 2s.

  • I personally think the change to small mongos makes a ton of sense. CCB is something everyone needs and amethysts add up to give you a nice bonus at the end of the event. H O W E V E R, the only reason people are kinda iffy on it is because NOW uncommons drop 0-1 kyra's and if you're lucky you get a jackpot of 4 (which happened twice to me last night, only twice??) and rare's somehow were nowhere to be found. I'm not sure if they nerfed the spawn rates aswell but it did seem like it. In the places I had consistently farmed for the past 3 days - they were empty which makes very little sense because it's highly populated/dense areas that spawn a lot usually.

    tuesday legendaries+small mongos=170 catalysts, wednesday 150, thursday 56.... i was farming at same spot and for same time period. Nerf is real, try to fix it cause i was pretty annoyed to get only 2 parcels with crystal boxes inside, especially cause it was 4 AM for me when legendaries started. Seriously EME, if you do something right, don't spoil it with changing. feedback about Wednesday's magnarox was positive, why would you change that. Once again you failed to listen to the community....

    Same here! I was farming a bit more - something like 220-250 per day and now I'm getting like 50 lol. I'm enjoying all these sick goddess blessings tbh
  • Also, a good thing to consider is that because the small mongos take many hits to kill that it doesn't feel worth killing them because by the time you kill one small, someone is flying past you to find the rare/uncommon one you were just seconds away from. This is a huge thing. HUGE.
