Fraya Quest Issues

I'm unable to proceed with the main quest line once in Allemantheia on several characters because Fraya is usually not present in the HQ when I am sent back to speak with her. She isn't there when I'm trying to do the Fraya's Fury quest and rarely not even there for the Rotten to the Core quest.

Is there a way to resolve this so I can get the main quest line back on track for these characters?

I would assume Fraya is in another place. Fraya actually appears in a few places.
  • Yes, I know she appears in other places. But, for that quest she is supposed to be in the HQ. She won't interact with me in other places I can find her at all, such as Castanica, despite my having this quest, so her presence elsewhere does not resolve the issue.
  • Hm, that's hard to answer.

As we don't read about other people having the same problem, I guess that it could be a small step missing on your side. As far as I remember, she's also in Frontera village. To make sure she's really in HQ, open your world map. Look out for the red question marks and mouse over them. If one of them is Fraya, you've found her.

Try to relog or type /reset. HQ works just like an instanced dungeon (afaik) and this might help you reset Fraya.

I have all the story quests completed up to the Traitor of Acarum, which I can't turn in as Fraya is not in the HQ. I have found Fraya in both Frontera and Castanica, but she won't interact with me in either place, so I can't turn in the quest in those locations.

This has been an ongoing issue for some time, so I have had logged out many times with no change in the situation. I wasn't aware of the reset command so I will give that a go with one of the affected characters and see if it fixes things up, and post the outcome here.

Thank you both for taking the time to try to help out.

Edit: I tried the /reset command. The game responded that there was no instance to reset. I went back to the HQ anyway, and went to Frontera and Castanica. Fraya wasn't in the HQ and wouldn't give me any interaction buttons in either of the other places.
  • Nothing I am doing is fixing this issue. I'm going to send in a support ticket to see if they can determine the problem and get the main quest line working for me again. I'll post the results here.

    Hm, good luck.
  • Well... This turned out to be user error, because I apparently can't read map text, and the portal I was entering led to a room that looks exactly like the one I should have gone too, and the NPC within said Fraya wasn't there at the moment.

That was because Fraya too busy being in the identical room, where she was supposed to be, just a bit further down the way.

Why this wasn't happening all the time as that on some of my characters I was playing with my girl who generally loads faster than I do, so I was pretty much just following along without giving it much thought and she always went to the right place.

So, all my "stuck" characters are now "fixed", in a way.

    Oy.... embarrassing.

Thanks for solving this, it surely will help others doing this quest.

Another MMO called BDO which I tried to play has a dotted line, directing exactly to the target you're searching for. However, this dotted line somehow kills the immersion and I didn't feel playing an MMO but rather a train simulator, moving along the dotted line. So, there's no easy solution to this matter.
