Copyright law states the following:
Copyright law does not protect names, titles, or short phrases or expressions. Even if a name, title, or short phrase is novel or distinctive or lends itself to a play on words, it cannot be protected by copyright. The U.S. Copyright Office cannot register claims to exclusive rights in brief combinations of words such as:
• Names of products or services • Names of businesses, organizations, or groups (including the names of performing groups) • Pseudonyms of individuals (including pen or stage names) • Titles of works • Catchwords, catchphrases, mottoes, slogans, or short advertising expressions • Listings of ingredients, as in recipes, labels, or formulas. When a recipe or formula is accompanied by an explanation or directions, the text directions may be copyrightable, but the recipe or formula itself remains uncopyrightable.
If you disagree with this contact the federal government.
Maybe they should be selected..
No sass intended honestly. I kind of already addressed this if you read my follow-up post about the direct translation of Korean. There are actually multiple instances in NA TERA where the history lore, character names, item names, location names, and even quest plots are different from the Korean version of TERA. This is done as part of the localization process and carries over to other English speaking regions.
I'm hyped.
So are Elves, High Elves, Humans, Sorceror, Lancer, Gunner. So yeah it kind of makes things pretty clear on that. Either way I am comfortable with Moondancer or Valkyrie. I can actually see it being Moondancer anyway. It was when the class was first being introduced that it was called something close to that anyway. Lunardancer Moondancer same thing. lol Just not separated is all.
The idea to let the community decide on the new class name? Should I find a mirror so I can see it, or just slapping myself right away? ;D
Don't go there space cats. To be honest a poll was a smart decisions. let's the community at large make a choice. What should not have been done was allow them to see the actually results. Not until the 5th.
Do it on stream, we'll watch.
(I think poll is a good thing, but I'm also okay with people slapping themselves).
Unfortunately that's not something that can be tweaked with the Vanilla forum polls. I did disable the setting that lets people see specifically who voted for who since that seemed unnecessary.
