  • Why not just name it Lunar Dancer like it is in Korea?

  • If valkyrie already chosen in RU version, why would we want to use the same name?
And if its true that valkyrie also known to be 'chooser of the slain', wouldn't it be more sensible name for healer class?

TBH I prefer Sentinel. The watcher or guardian. If I'm not mistaken, the lore behind this new Musa class is that they supposed to be veterans of some war where they went out to battle, and then came back only to see their own clan got massacred. Calling them Crusader would probably stretching it, because they not the heavy type infantry. Light on their foot, medium armored, and packs a punch. Like the Australian Sentinel tank, or Sentinel walker from WH40k.

    Plis vote for Sentinel.

Valkyrie, I don't see the new class using dance moves in battle any time soon.
  • Why are people arguing over a class name?

Its so worthless to do so, and you could be doing something far more productive with your time.

If the combat style is one of beauty and grace the moves associated with it could easily be seen like dancing to the viewer. Names are often based on the figurative rather than the literal.

    its a figure of speech.
if you are a fan of chinese martial arts you would understand there is a big part of dance and acorbatic moves in the style.

Valkyrie 's lore and myth doesnt fit.
valkyrie holds a shield and sword and looks human.
and plus its a gendered name (female only).
all other classes names are neutral .

Some Valkyries are described as bearing a shield. Nothing about Valkyries necessitates a shield.
    Castanics don't look human? What?
Gendered name? It's only one gender. All of the new classes have been gender locked and show no signs of changing.
  • I really don't like any of the names they came up with. The player base could do a lot better. Who in the world picked the available names for a class? MY OPINION IS they all pretty much suck!

its very rhythemic and flexible and orante.....like a dance.

thats why the best choice is moondancer.
its exotic , like the weapon and name and style.
and her power comes from the moon.

Valkyrie is already part of the Tera universe!

Valk is a nice name, but it literally has nothing to do with this class. It would be like naming brawlers as bladesman.

Though i have my own reasons for feeling Valkyrie isn't the best choice it can easily be related to the class.

Only female Castanics can be of the class. Valkyrie are only female.

The class uses a glaive. Valkyrie are often depicted with a spear.

Though a glaive and spear are quite different, this isn't being done for the Historical Polearms Institute. It is close enough for a MMORPG association, and the two together show how Valkyrie could be seen by many as a good fit.
  • "Moonlight Dancer" would be a great name if it was an OPTION in the Polls!
  • INb4 gender-locked character.. OH WAIT!

im NOT voting for this, classes that are race/gender locked should burn in hell.

Valkyrie/ヴァルキュリア/女武神/戦乙女(war/battle maiden) doesn't need to be a human. As long as a female then could use it.
If you want to use martial art connect to dance, then the Valkyrie who fight in the battleground also know how to dance. To be called a Valkyrie/ヴァルキュリア/女武神/戦乙女(war/battle maiden) they would also know how to dance since it connected to battle. Battle and war are connected to some martial arts in old time for some cultures.
女武神, the word '武' in it could mean of martial art (武術/武藝)
( lets do a direct translate here, 女武神 martial art goddess )
If you want to say Valkyrie is for female only and would like to follow the lore n myth, then moon is also for female only for some cultures.
For weapon, their main weapon is sword n bow in lore or myth doesn't mean they cant use other weapon. There some RPG allow Valkyrie use nearly all type of weapon cause they are Valkyrie/ヴァルキュリア/女武神/戦乙女, they need to know all type of weapons for battle.
