In fact the reason many consider Tera PVP a joke is because no 5s.
Laughably as I recalled the community white knighted the hello out of Tera and said #GamePoorBalance
Someone in that thread I skimmed actually had the audacity to consider zergfest FWC the 5man PVP BG yeah OK
If they want to keep it as is, they need to fix MM that simple.
They also need to balance teams as in 1 team should not have 3 Mystics, 3 brawlers, and 4 reapers.
Premades shouldn't be able to sync qs
We know this won't ever change so no point really in crying about it.
FWC is a joke period and der is a reason it died off 2 years ago and wasn't just because lack of credits.
Actually, this quite pathetic fix FWC?
You PVPers should be demanding more PVP BGs that test your skill and control of your character like 3s.
Not some souped up BG that only tests how much u grind in PVE to make VM7 gear or how many Reapers you have on ur team.
FWC is the new CS and instead of shredding lvl 30s, you are shredding lvl 65s in fodder gear or noobs in PVE gear who wont bother with RNG to reroll for PVP.
Did 1 FWC other day VM7 no doubt Ninja 100-0 me in 2 hits lol game has not changed.
Lets not forget the insane FPS drops associated with FWC like really and have the gall to call that lagfest low FPS BG PVP......
We had 5v5 for a short time.
People queued it for 1 whole day. Noticed that it was dumb as [filtered] because only 1 healer and whichever team crits on the other team's healer first wins.
Basically the game was decided by whichever priest could pop divine respite at the best moment.
After that nobody played it anymore till it got removed.
My sorc has never been two shotted by any ninja despite not having +15 armor. (I actually tried bringing +12 tensus in) Also, you bring an additional weapon/armor for PvP if really needed, not reroll. #useslaughterforpveconflateforpvp.
It was for that same reasoning that most +15 starfall players don't do more damage than +12 conflate just because it is not prepped for PvP.
Will only agree with FPS drops, and that is to blame BHS for making animations so resource intensive.
I don't think kills should be worth more than they already are. When we wipe mid we're usually already so far ahead in points. The reason for bringing up rebalancing was based off a lot of complaints and feedback that there was no way for a decent premade to beat a stacked team (double or triple premade). That being said I don't think winning should be just from caps which is why I wanted to keep capping low in points. It does favor ranged classes more in that they can peel for the pyre.
Part of the issue too is that overall skill level of the people in queue is just bad. A combination of poor awareness, lack of pvp knowledge for things like not kding a stun, wrong gear, wrong crystals are what's really causing most of the issues in fwc. I've solo queued on alt healers many times and was pretty disappointed in how bad the teams are. This suggestion isnt really meant to help that particular part of the population. I'm not sure what can be done to help people that cant be bothered to put relentless crystals in before queueing up.
Kinda sad we cant multiqueue BGs thou really love to do Gridiron too
You can't really help stupid if I'm to be brutally honest. The problem with Tera as it stands right now especially with PvP isn't the game modes (well Kumas is a grotesque exception), it's like you said the dangerously lacking awareness and knowledge. Wrong crystals I hardly see....but when people queue up and scream "Carry me" I usually flip that kick button faster than Usain bolt running 100 meters.
I have (slowly since classes have started for me) started working on short basic guides for pvp. I think we have a lot of very detailed and long guides that have a lot of information which is great but can be overwhelming. I think having something that goes over the very basics could help some players get started.
Old post I know but still a relevant thread
we're any of these ideas or suggestions brought forward to EME/BHS and was any feedback received?
