Ninja Question

So I am playing a Ninja ( of course no idea what I am really doing)

So my question is what Crystals should I be using?
What gear should I get if money is a bit of an issue?

Slaughter is the mid-tier set, getting it is easy. Enchanting is a bit rough with the feedstock issues the community is facing. As far as crystals, you'd just use the standard dps crystals.

All dps back crit crystals, just as any other melee dps. If in any doubt, whenever you start the game you get a window that shows what crystals to use for both pve and pvp. As for gear, the usual climb. Start with Dreadnaught which you get after a single quest to kill about 31 bams, which can be easily killed using idoneal which you get from the previous quest. Then make your way to either Slaughter, or if you have guild and friends support, try to go for Starfall. I'd say imperator but even the designs for those are extremely rare to obtain.

When gearing, mind that you should upgrade your crit factor to some extent. Mine is around +211(the green number next to my base crit factor) at the moment, which should be enough, combined with other things like scrolls, charms and mystic buffs to crit constantly on end game.
  • Since nobody is actually answering your question, the crystals for PvE are Savage, Bitter, Focused and Carving.
  • While on the subject, is keen charms or the power charms better for ninja? My crit factor is 196.

You don't need gear names. Your class only wears cloth. Your chest will say Ninja Primary enchantment at the bottom. Essential Mana gives you every piece of relevant information.

In terms of chest, gloves and boots, I don't even know the actual gear names. I just know the gear sets which are written near the bottom of the gear description. So Either Dreadnaught, Slaughter, Starfall or Imperator. Jewelry could be more of an issue so let me explain the little I know about it. Anyone with more knowledge can correct me if I'm wrong here.

Ninja gets the Cutter jewelry set when obtaining Dreadnaught from the NPC at the end of one of the island of dawn quests. This is a crit factor set. If you do the abscess dungeon, you can get a slightly stronger variant ring and earring called Corvette, but of those you can only wear one of each at a time. They have the word "Unique" in their description. So the optimal Dreadnaught set uses the cutter necklace, one cutter ring, one corvette ring, one cutter earring and one corvette earring. Any other rings, earrings and necklaces found in Abscess are either for healing or tanking. There's also a set that buffs power, but unless you have another good source of crit factor, you should stick with cutter and corvette.

The next jewelry set matches the Slaughter set of body gear. Referred to as "Still accessories". The basic crit factor set is called Shadowgate, and the unique variants are called Shadowvain. You will also see here Bloodgate and Bloodvain, but these buff power, lowering your crit factor by way too much. I've seen no tank or healing variants of these.

As for brooches, I and apparently other people go for "Cleansing brooch" which is a superior (yellow name) item. Note that there's a variant called "Simple Cleansing brooch" which is a rare "blue name" item that's weaker. So the preferred one is the Superior Cleansing brooch.

    Hope this helps.

Jewelery is also simple as for any other dps but gunner its crit+crit. Meaning you get top ring+earring from previous patch atm its corvette and mix it with ctit neclass, ring +earring from current patch cant recall the names. You might start from low ones(ring/earring) and work your way to get top ones. That is it.

As money is an issue, you should do the questline on the Island of Dawn (with lvl65). The game now provides you with free Dreadnaught gear as well as some enchanting material and complete juwellery and crystals (upon hitting lvl 65).
