Slayer Build Post Patch

So, class patches came through a while ago, and Slayer's actually looking at a good base attack level. So, my question is whether or not Slayer should still be built full crits, or whether you can now look towards higher attack modifiers, mainly because I don't trust my luck with crits. Or anything, really.

Comments

  • full crit. they are not like some classes that have high crit rate on skills and or a buff(assault stance) that gives a crap ton of crit.
  • I think hearthrust and measured slice should have a nearly guaranteed crit which would put slayer inline with some of the newer classes.
Sadly you still need to just go full crit, which feels a bit lame.

Just make sure your MS crit close to 100% and start building power from there.

No. Slayer still needs to build excessive crit to make ultimate overhand strike to crit consistently.
Meme, If your UOHS wins a jackpot that can hit up to 20m damage you will hope it to crit as much as it can.

I know it's late, and this might be a dumb question, but does this mean that instead of going 3 crit accessories and 2 power, you'd go 5 crit?

Pretty much, you can use pieces of two different crit factor sets to get the bonus from both: 3 manorborne + 2 shadowvain, 3 blubred (or their resized version) + 2 manorbone (or their resized version).
  • Wait is ultimate OHS just OHS with no starting chain?

UOHS is a passive ability you get for ICB.

    nvm, I read something incorrectly
  • If you're bis crit elsewhere(20 crit inners, perfectly rolled 4/4 retooled accessories, 6/3 belts and brooch) you can go double energetic. The top slayers are doing it right now and they still mantain a >70% critrate with Mystics and >60% critrate without Mystics.

I'm noticing a pattern here: this means that one still has to go out their way to be on par with the more damaging classes (which is, like... almost everyone else save healers and maybe lancers).

Is it really a buff then? Or just a minor damage readjustment?
