Remove or fix CU

Should just remove it from the game. Lags the servers badly. The same guilds ally together every week and prevent any other guild from having a fair shot. Same guilds feeding each other every week, no competition. I doubt this is what BHS had in mind when they implemented it. Either attempt to fix it or remove it. I don't see how anyone can be in support of how it is atm.

@Dhrizzit I'm speaking from MT. The exploit of feeding without consequence can be done on any server, and I wouldn't be surprised if other servers were doing the same.

They should get away from that system and go to a house system for players, And allow the players the opportunity to defend their own house and upgrade their own land. Ofcourse they can't handle that kind of work. Too much for them I guess.

    They do on AV
  • Alliance at least let me do the daily quests, so even nobody like me who doesn't like PvP had a chance at something there. Now CU is only for one guild ... yes, its for only one guild on CH too.
Same as rally was for guild that had best script to accept the quest (and then troll the whole server). Change to automatic spawn at set time was better as more people had a chance getting the drops.
With recent change to random time, it became a thing for big guilds again, only they can form strong enough raids in such short notice, to again get richer.

About reporting things ... well, in game thing sure is worthless.
Ticket ... think by now everyone on CH knows a certain baraka slayer that is trash talking everyone (even had a misfortune to meet him and got same treatment in say/area chat) and posting DPS meter results in global, many people did send in tickets with screenshots, including me ...
... nothing changed, he's still at it.

Things need to change, but I hope that it won't be done with same mind set as for recent ... remove everything without anything to replace it or replace it with even worse thing.

I still don't understand why A) Developers continue to add content like this (Well I guess I do since they do this and hope people will actually use it for fun but eh) and B ) Players that continue to complain about stupid things like massive guilds or alliances that are "ruining/exploiting" the event.

Massive Zerg guilds and Alliances are a thing that happen in anything related to PvP, and the sooner you come to accept this the better it is. These people are not exploiting anything or feeding, they are simply playing smart for the rewards. Do you expect these large groups to one day just think "oh well ykno maybe we should just give up this weeks first place and rewards to this random guild"? I doubt if you were in their position you would do that. If you want to participate in the event then do so, build up a large guild + form alliances with other guilds that aren't in the running for prizes and put up a fight.

I'm not agreeing that zerg guilds and alliances are fun, but I've seen it plenty of times and it's just a thing that happens, sometimes people break off and put up a fight to make it interesting but most of the time it's just other groups not even trying and complaining that it's feeding/exploiting. I'm also not saying CU doesn't lag because it sure does, except you can't request it get removed simply because of that. Right now if EmE hosts any small thing or even sneezes in the general direction of the servers the hamsters running on their wheels will collapse and die, causing 4 HH raids to wipe to a stupid mechanic or even making the servers implode.

Only because they would team up against the top guild out of spite.

If they made civil unrest a cross-server event with guilds from all servers competing then maybe you would see an actual contest.

they deleted my post again -___-
The thing is that it's all good and all to complain about the fact that there are alliances and "no competition" but why are there alliances? Why is there no competition?

Trust me I hate it too but they "worked" for it. Instead of posting on the forums why don't you Message people in game? Start building an army (people do the same for HH) to take down the alliances? Create competition! Yes I know exactly how broken CU is, especially on MT but the top guilds are there for a reason. The spent time raising their guilds, they spent time reaching out in game to make sure that they had allies.

We've wanted this since it first came out, it would be great watching people from all the servers be able to play together but just imagine how bad the lag would be, doesn't seem likely sadly. They could've made it like GW2 WvW where Server A fights Server B and the servers switch to the next server but 5 servers, maybe put the 2 lowest populated servers together? That would be a monthly or bi weekly fight instead of weekly since some servers are more active.
There was a very in-depth post iirc by kamizuma when crusades were out, to create competition on each server, the top guild of said server would be that servers representative and fight a gvg vs the other top guilds in each server on a separate server made only for the monthly fights. Making people want to grind batlegrounds and GvGs constantly to get ticket in.
  • People use the term "exploits" very easily. It sucks that CU is built the way it is, but that doesn't mean big guilds are cheaters and should be banned...

Future updates ease the one guild takes all meta...
Changed the method weekly tax is distributed

Rank 1: 50% of weekly tax
Rank 2: 30% of weekly tax
Rank 3: 10% of weekly tax
Rank 4: 5% of weekly tax
Rank 5: 5% of weekly tax

    Added rank rewards

Participants of rank 1 to 20 will receive a participation box (box received from higher rank will be worth more)
Civil Unrest rank reward will only be rewarded to players who participated a certain amount of time
Players who did do not actively participate in Civil Unrest will not receive rank-dependent participation box

    Changed Civil Unrest ranking rules

Protecting your own tower while destroying enemy tower can give placement in the rankings
As it gets closer to the deciding moment of Civil Unrest, you can get placement in the rankings
