Hey guys,

How is Tera Open World PvP and GvG going? I remember i quit the game because the OW pvp was dead, and this is a thing that i value a lot in a game. Im thinking about coming back to the game but i will only do that if there was any improvement to the open world pvp content.

    Depends on your server. Mt pvp is dead unless you count the people who sit outside of town and gang up on 1 person. I made a thread (https://forums.enmasse.com/tera/discussion/11687/there-is-actual-owpvp-on-this-game-still/p1) about this because its actually the most active its been in a while but on the new PvP server Fey Forest. A lot of Mt players are moving from Mt and grouping up on the new server. It's pretty fun if you enjoy raid vs raid and stuff like that.

    If you want a little proof log onto Velika outskirts on every server or just MT and Fey. You'll notice the difference.

    Unfortunately like yourself a lot of the pvpers have "quit" the game due to lack of owpvp/Gvg.

    Most gvgs are spent in velika by one side (velika is the only safe zone during Gvg) or it's a "1 and done" scenario - on all servers.

    Owpvp is non existent in levelling areas (Pvp servers now require you to be level 65 to have the outlaw skill)

    MT: cresentia outskirts is active with flagged 65s running around.
    GvGs happen quite often within the smaller guilds.

    FF: velika outskirts is active for dueling and the odd "free for all" raids to wipe outskirts.

    All battlegrounds have been made EQ and with the Intro of tank/Kuma baby BGs they're dead besides power hours. m



    Basically if you were here for the good old nexus/vanarch days where gvgs were a daily thing - you're in for a huge let down. Tera is now a PvE game.

    Don't listen to @Koikoi he's one of those people that think it's dead and doesn't try since it's not "good enough" for him even though it's good enough for the other 100s of players who actively play. Why can't he be satisfied with just doing pvp for the sake of pvp. There is pvp on fey forest.

    If you like pvp it shouldn't matter if it's not as grand as it was during 0fps nexus or vanarch where you couldn't see the enemy guild members unless you separately gvgd them. People are trying to bring it back and its the most active it's been in years, people who put it down every chance it gets brought up are a waste of time if you're looking to actually take part in the PvP. Read through the thread, start logging in, watch the activity and quality of the players and watch it grow.

    no one is hating on the Pvp. I'm stating fact from logging in and now actively playing on that server. these are my observations.

    If he is an older player from 2012 the Pvp will still feel dead to him today if he left because it was bad in 2015.

    You can't revive something that the developers are actively punishing. There's no new Pvp content and there's none incoming anytime soon.

    They've already announced Tera2. Do yourself a favor and stop wasting your breathe. I wish it was otherwise but that is the truth of it.

    It's currently at the best it's been since vm4-vm5 crusade patch, with plenty of potential. There were some sparks inbetween before but this isn't the same as those, mainly because the people/server.

    The influx of players flooding shows that it's different, right now it's an arms race, the people are building up, strengthening their guilds training/gear/strategy. There's no real dominate strength on the server which makes it even more likely that this influx continues. The only reason 1 side is winning is because of pillar placement which gives them an added advantage CU wise, in terms of pvp raid fights they're similar. Soon enough it's going to tip to the other side. If you enjoy pvp and this game, it is there you can find it, be it in VO or CU.

    @Koikoi OP never mentions playing in 2012 or quitting in 2015, just quitting. You're actively playing on the server now why would you tell someone who is looking to come back to the game for owpvp not to come? Why are you playing on the server if it's not worth the time. Waiting for another game and doing nothing now is stupid. Link me a tera 2 source though I have to say i've never heard more than just rumors of it. I want to read up on it.

    I never once said he shouldn't come back, I gave a fair opinion on what iv seen... and said he would be disappointed.

    Google Project W or Tera 2. Last EME stream also talks about it with spacecats and the CEO.
