Getting thrown to desktop radomly

Hello! Tera been randomly switching/crashing to my desktop without any errors. The game itself doesn't crash or closes, but just goes randomly to desktop. It happens every 15-30min. I tried to turn every program off, undated drivers, etc, but still the same problem and only in Tera.

Still having this problem as heck. I play in full screen mode and tried msconfig. I have no idea what service is causing it.
  • Try running Tera in windowed fullscreen mode and see if it still happens, can also try using this http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/iobit_game_booster.html it'll turn off everything that isn't needed also.
  • Oh and make sure you're not accidentally hitting your windows key lol.
  • I'm having the same issue. My character will stop moving and skills cannot be used. Sometimes it will bring me to desktop and I alt tab back in and get an error and hit the "Server Select" button. I tried patching and that didn't help. WTF.
  • For the first issue, it really does sound like some other program running in the background is causing it, but yeah the problem is trying to know which one. Something else seems to be stealing the focus away.

For the second issue, it sounds like the network is disconnecting for whatever reason, and perhaps it's taking you back to desktop because something is popping up about the problem. Hard to recommend what to do about this one.

For both these issues, I would send your diagnostic info to Support in a ticket, as these are more local computer issues that hopefully they've run into before.
