I've lost all my costumes

Hi, haven't logged into TERA for a long time, just went to check my costumes and nothing is there, I believe this may be due to the fact that I left them on broker and it got sent to mail but I believe mail is deleted after 30 days?

Anyway anyone else had this problem before and would support be able to retrieve them? I am not sure if they were scattered across all my alts, would there be an issue if it was?

Try sending a ticket with as much information as you can remember such as approximate dates, what they were, etc.

Make sure to check all tabs as there were some changes to the bank/guild bank at some point. I'm not sure how long ago you played last so those are possible factors. I don't keep up either so I'm not sure of all of them either.

It really depends on if they have any data. I know someone who accidentally sold something but they got it back when they knew rough date/time. May also depends on the support staff and any policies they have with item retrieval.
  • If you had them on the broker when you left the game, they most probably got returned to you via parcel as they didn't sell and got deleted. Your best option is to contact support, not sure if they can retrieve the items though, it might be hard if it happened a long time ago.

Yeah, I don't know why the 30 day auto-delete still exists. I'm certain the same thing happened to my brother when we returned to the game.

After the 7 days on broker those items are mailed by parcel post system.

If you don't claim them from there before 28 days has passed they got deleted.

Send a ticket to support, they were kind enought to recover one custome for me that values more than 1 million gold.

Well I had around 50 costumes up on the broker lol, so it's a big deal when I found they dissappeared

I mean, you probably shouldn't have listed them on the broker if you were planning on not coming back for a while.

Because one selling point in every F2P game is inventory space. If the mail would stay in the mailbox forever, people would simply put their storage stuff into broker for 1 million gold and have it sent to their mailbox. I even use the broker sometimes as temporary storage and put my stuff in there for 50k gold.

As posters above say, I fear that your brokered stuff is lost in the mail deletion system. However, I can't really understand why you put them into the broker and never came back to retrieve them. The mail deletion mechanics is nothing new.

Edit: 50 costumes and you just disappeared? Sorry, but given that the cheapest costume is $10 this is a $500 asset that you just abandoned? Either you're .. weird.. or I don't know.

maybe he get his costumes from kyra events, but it is true it was bad idea to use broker like an inventory :)

I got bored of the game, although I am pretty sure I was never going to come back, I most likely wont play again, just want to know where my assests are I guess lol, I also think my CPU died that week so most likely the reason I never logged back in
  • Alright, so update, made a ticket into support they said the only people that can look at this issue is Bluehole themselves, so they have passed it on to them, which means, I most likely will never get my costume back lol because what are the chances of a dev looking at a single persons issue, barely any, oh well
  • Bluehole? That's a bunch of bull. I had that happen with me with my pirate costume on my lancer and I forgot to take it out of mail so it ended up getting deleted. I went to live chat and the gm just needed to find if I really owned the piece of costume.

They can look through your mail log, the gm that helped me did and he found that I did own it. So after he just sent me a new one and made it one that my race can use (used to be castanic and now is high elf.)

EME should be able to do that, not fair tbh.

I'm guessing it depends on the time lapsed and/or the quantities. You probably contacted a GM relatively close after the email was deleted, while for OP it took much longer, and there are about 50 of them to your one.
  • No it was between 1-2 months when I went to live chat. I'd post the ticket but I'm not sure if that's against forum rules.

I didn't read that part about 50 costumes... o man. The gm could do it but it'd be a lot of work. He'd have to send you each costume individually and for the one that fits your race..

It's possible that, in your case, they were able to trace it a different way, or it was still within the time limit they are able to retrieve from their end. I do imagine that, after a certain point, even the old message logs get purged (or at least archived somewhere).

Plus... if it's one costume that you want to keep to use on your own character, that's one thing. But if you had a whole wardrobe on sale on the broker and you just left the game and forgot about it... I'm not sure that they'd treat it quite the same way.

At the end of the day, if they were going to deal with all such cases (and not personal favors for people who lost one outfit or something), they'd be better off just asking BHS to eliminate the auto-deletion after 30 days feature for messages with attachments.
