Warrior PvP Guides?

Hihi all. I recently got back into Warrior and both times so far I've been casual about learning it. However, I wish to pursue and actually learn the skills, combos, gear, rolls, glyphs and etc. My issue, though, is that I can't find anything that's new. it's all from mid 2015 or early 2016 so I can't be sure that any of it is still accurate since I never knew the class in the first place. If anyone can link me helpful information for learning all of this stuff, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, I play on TR so if anyone thinks they could/wouldn't mind teaching me themselves, then feel free to send me a friend request and we can start that some time. Thanks in advance to any helpful information. - Archetypal

  • Some warrior guides from arguably one of the best warriors to play on na. It's a bit outdated since warriors didn't do as much damage but the basics are all here. Your job as a warrior, glyphs, and some strats and combos

  • These links are very appreciated especially since they included their twitch channel with broadcasts and such. I'll definitely do my homework on these and try to master it. Hopefully I can help put out a new PvP guide in 2017 for Warrior for everyone else. Again, thanks for those links!
  • Np the only thing to really mention is that the combo's are pretty outdated. First auto attack doesn't stagger anymore so don't do that, no one uses pounce in their backstab combo they just do casscade rob now after they patched it and scythe has been buffed to hell so if you have 10 stack of scythe you want to use it.
I think the main things to take away from the guides/videos are the amount of pressure in damage not just staggering and stunning. And the teamwork if you hear all the things being called out thats what I mean.

A new guide for all classes is probably needed would be great if the community was driven enough to make some more current guides.
  • Yea, I wish the community was like that. Had a guide or two for each class and everyone commented and contributed to it and the guide was basically edited by the whole community (mostly the class mains that mastered it)

  • What about this combos in D stance? Are stil working? Seems pretty OP in 1v1 situations :p
  • Those are some pretty good 1v1 combo's, not the biggest fan of opening with backstab (mained warrior for 3 years) but as seen in the video it works pretty well when people aren't expecting it. This video looks pretty current so the combo's should still work.

In any fight that has cleanses or peels the extra stun on shout is usually avoided so warrior's try to just get the most damage out and finish the combo with scythe after RoB instead of shout-->charge-->bladedraw--> scythe.

Opening with backstab in a BG is actually really good. (yes it is scrubby) In a duel or 3s match it really isnt great, Its better to combo into backstab or using it when they blew their iframes and you need to chase them down

Like I said it works when no one is expecting it like in the video, but if there are any competent healers anywhere around you get insta cleansed against now you have a long cd (in a solo bg setting like the video). I'd always much rather hold backstab and secure a kill will it, though everything in this game is situational so there's no real answer as to when to use it just pref..
