The market is already oversaturated with them. MWA is basically worthless, and premium/extensive alk are getting there. This strongbox event is essentially worthless as the "jackpots" at the already dismal rate are 20-30k at the most.

Couple other consumables the game actually needs:
Dragon tokens
Flying/dragon mounts
Semi-enigmatic scrolls
Smart dyads
Noctenium/Uncommon noct refiners

Feel free to add to the list.

    Dragons are a paid for product, so don't expect that anytime soon. Semis are already abundant enough.

    Costumes, and cosmetic items such as the permanant disco ball that were coveted by many players but that only a few lucky individuals could obtain.

    I never said they had to be easy to get. Put some in events that also generate EMP sales like these. At the moment the 1.5x crit dragons are only obtainable from dragon scales (lol good luck with that) or tokens from opening royal dragon loot boxes, and the 2x crit dragons only from lootboxes. Semis have been hovering around 200-250g for the past patch, and with new jewelry every patch it still costs a good amount of gold per accessory.

    I legit don't understand why EME couldn't add the permanent disco ball as the jackpot cosmetic instead of aurum. The disco ball was a hugely coveted prize from kyras and many players that wanted one didn't end up getting one. I'm sure more than a few wouldn't mind opening strongbox keys for it.

    The alk glut is going to be a systematic problem as we keep getting a massive amount of them from events and lockboxes.

    I suggest reversing the awakening & awakening enchanting cost (back to 2000 and 200 respectively). That's one less thing they have to localize for as well.

    Maybe they are giving us those amounts of mats becuase enchanting is going to be reversed.

    Keys aren't even selling the price just keeps driving down more and more. Jackpot suck cause the mount is useless, the materials are worthless. In fact it's actually cheaper to buy keys now than before the event started sadly

    Dyeable Arin's, Unity Stole, Permanent Disco Ball or other similar unobtainable items are also great ideas for event rewards.

    the price of alkahests make it very very difficult to make any gold in this game now. the last thing we need is MORE alks in the game.
