Tera coming to Xbox 1 thoughts

Greetings everyone I'm devmen on Xbox 1. I truly think Tera coming to consoles is a terrific idea. Reason is these days Microsoft still giving crap games as usual. Tera will be the next game me and my friends play seriously. So truly I wanted to say this, thanks enmasse for this great gift. I promise you and to anyone who plays on Xbox 1. We will do all we can to help any and everyone make this game great. So many Ty's and I do hope to play the beta and game very soon. Have a good day everyone

I think it's awesome, if a few years late. This also implies that maybe, maybe we'll finally get some optimzation patches down the line.

Why do I say that, you may be wondering? Simple: in order to achieve a consistent frame-rate on current gen consoles, the graphics will need to be scaled back, like with Smite and Overwatch (assuming they're going for 60fps). Now imagine the shitstorm that would ensue if it turns out that this game is more stable on inferior hardware.

In any case, I think console MMOs as a whole are great.
• I just don't think Xbox 1 will play on the same servers are the pc ones. Microsoft has always been stingy with online games. Like if they don't own the server, you won't play online, which is the whole reason for Xbox live.

It's the reason FF14 only went to pc and PS4. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
• I'm trying to get used to playing Tera on a controller. Simple things like equipping crystals and weapons are total headaches. Some of the skill slots are completely unusable. The ones where you hold the button and the trigger is on the same side. In most games you actually hold the trigger and press those buttons instead. It just makes more sense on the hand point of view.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great Tera expands. Just, it should be done right...

1: yes, Interface usage and extra functions like crystal presets and these stuff need a LOT of polishing for controller;
2: no, absolutely not, unless you mean the extra bar. The full extended bar is completely usable, from 1st to last skill on controller. If you mean swapping the button action for the trigger, I think it's configurable, but if not then it's another simple revision they should make indeed.

TERA is a game you either start on controller, or on keyboard and mouse. I just can't do anything properly but aim the sieges in Iron with keyboard and mouse, that and the interface. The rest is a pain for me on mouse.

This is probably the reason why some people troll the controller idea so much: they got late to it. I can say I got used to it since start, and it was fast to get used to. But to swap to something else is a whole different story, I really would need to re-learn the combat, same goes for mouse players going controller.

You can configure which actions will do any button from controler, even from sitcks and pad.

On PC I will recomend you to use Big Picture on Steam to customize however you want your controler keys, you can configure xbox and play station controlers and almost any other controler on market,

I'll poke around for configuration then.

EDIT: It's quite possible to map all the skill trays, but it won't see trigger + button as a valid bind.
• i dont think its such a bad idea if pc and console servers will be seperated. i think it will be a great idea if every1 got a fresh start. new friends new guilds made and plus there will be more party groups to play with yes. if there is a clan or guild system on tera im going to make 1 the 1st chance i get. when tera does come i hope to play and help with every1. 3 characters i saw on youtube recently i would like to be brawler gunner and ninja yes. best of luck to every1 when the game comes out
