They could do a temporary server where the level cap is 60 and only 8 classes exist, and let people experience old tera for a few weeks before they get bored lol
  • Actually, I remember asking about this on a fb group. Someone did they attempted to make a fan vanilla server, but stopped cause it was too time consuming. All the files are there, it would just take someone with the know how and time to do it. I highly doubt eme would ever make a vanilla server.
It would be nice,as leveling is too fast now and the story line is all jumbled up. It would be nice to go back to just to fully explore the lore.

@Ladyco There's such thing as... playing a different game. There's real problems to worry atm, lag, unbalance, etc.

I still remember when Ragnarok Online update Episode 12, Destruction of Morroc changed the map of Morroc and some of the surrounding maps. It was hard to accept the map changes but suddenly you realised it was just a map and developer need to constantly changes the game itself to keep it interesting. Then the 3rd class came in where you need to "reborn" into High Novice class before changing to latest and powerful new 3rd class. Again as usual, people didn't like the changes as there is tons of bugs etc but it's just the way any MMO game evolves and growths. You gotta move on, nothing last forever.

If you don't like it, just make your own private server. Like bunch of private RO server around the worlds.

Ragnarok was very broken game. So much bugs and bots. It was fun tho.
  • i can honestly say a vanilla server or two wouldn't hurt, but a level cap jump to 130 would be completely and totally [filtered], now if you brought it up to 69, or 80 that would be alright i suppose but hell no, there will never be a real reason to go higher than 85.

Darling, its not going to happen. With these pathetic casuals that moved in the past two years, all the fun has been sucked out. I just stick around to torment them on the forums and on MT. Shame I can't hunt level 11 brawlers anymore. B)

Believe me, I really miss when the game actually took more than two braincells to play and wasn't free to play, but as I said, not happening. Once my PC build is finished, I'll see about setting up a private server that will gradually build up to MCHM patch.

The realization that a Vanilla server is in the works and very few know :3

whoops, did I let the cat out of the bag too early?

Well, I've already said too much, so lets leave it there.

I just want old Nexus back, personally. As laggy as it could be on high graphic settings, it was SO MUCH FUN getting so many players together

    This, 1000 times

I'd like to see you do that. I'll definitely play in it. BTW, can we do something about the 200+ ping I have since I play in SEA. lelz. That is, if you ever finish building it. Can't wait.

Remove Step-lame Isle and bring back old IOD, Then revamp Step-lame isle to a late game stuff like IOD we have now. Old IOD was the best start on any MMO.

Every time I get there, I get so upset and start using a lotta F words for changing IOD. RAWRRRRRR.

Increasing my rage, getting ready for Divine Wrath. :rage:

    >_> Island of Dawn in its original state was great. But the way it was before they removed it, I'm sorry, was a piece of garbage on a pretty map. It got reduced to going from Point A to B to C to D to do one stupid thing, and you spent half your time travelling for no good reason. The map was about 5x larger than it needed to be for no reason anymore (since they phased out most of the map). And even though you "could" party up with people, it was counterproductive to do so.

Stepstone Isle, as visually drab as it is, has way better pacing considering the amount of time they want you to spend getting to level 11. It also has a much better ratio of combat vs. travel time, including more interesting (and, for newcomers, more challenging) boss and mini-boss encounters.

If you're going back to Vanilla TERA, like the way it was back in 2012, then yes -- bring back that Island of Dawn. But preferably not the various attempts to "streamline" it since then.

@counterpoint Yeah, I am referring to 1st one, when you were going around, recovering that Sword, fighting those villagers. It could take 2 days to finish whole IOD story. I remember its visuals, music, how vast it was. Lovely. I was deleting my Chars at lvl 11, and starting again and again back then lol
