FPS Drops Down to Teens/Single Digits The Longer The Client is Running...
I've recently come back to TERA after about 1.5 years and while playing the game, I've noticed that after about and hour or so, my frame rate drops significantly down to the teens. I'll start off my gaming session averaging about 30-60 FPS (depending on my in-game location) and then it drops to teens/single digits making it impossible to play without a complete restart of the client.
Is anyone else experiencing something similar? One of the main reasons I left before was due to terrible optimization, memory leaks, etc. This is extremely disappointing to come back to.

And really the headset isn't relevant hehe
much less the keyboard tray but whatever
Totally software sided. Is the client suddenly eating RAM out of the blue? My TERA doesn't suck more than 1.5 GB of RAM for itself, like ever. No matter how long I play. I would suspect you're having some drainage issue there. That should be a really important information to help.
Also what's running in the background, Discord? Team Speak? Skype? Some other program?
I do have Discord running in the background actually. This is unfortunately as I was hoping that since it has been over a year since I've been gone that these memory leaks would have been fixed by now, SMH.
I don't think it's likely to be Discord, as many, many people play with Discord running in the background these days; it's always running for me, and I don't have this problem. I would suspect your game controller is the most likely culprit.
I have 3 dongles for 3 different controllers plugged it. I will unplug all 3 and take note of the results. Thank you for your response.
controller player since start, and with ONE controller connected no issues whatsoever. Take note, only ONE controller at use. I've seen people talk about the controller auto-detection thing so if that's bugged... could actually have something to do.
Last time I had RAM drainage was when I played with Bluestacks running on background, tho I don't remember if my FPS lowered as well during that time
I made another thread recently and someone posted a fix but it dodnt worked for me.
So i continue pluggin and unpliggin the controller every hour or so... no big deal but yes is weird.
