Archer question

Why is it that i see archers using pounding over forceful? The only answer ive gotten so far is that its better in the long run but how so?

  • It depends on how much crit rate and power you have. At a certain point pounding does more damage than forceful.

Anyone know what the current desirable crit level is for archers? The updated guide says many wonderful things but doesn't even give a ballpark. I'm trying to go for as much power as I can, without sacrificing chance to crit, and would appreciate any help with my experiments I can get.

    I say 60 + 220 is optimal but i'm just a scrub archer :3

I stopped at +200. What about other archers?

If you can't make use of RF (high ping), stack more crit and use other skills. If you can (low ping), It should be around +180 at best. Reason being RF being a very important factor of damage and just by not using RF you have to use weaker (no innate crit) skills to compensate. My casual play archer has +230.

if you use forceful, it means you gotta be behind, so no point for spiteful, because if you are not behind forceful not gonna be useful and if you are always behind no point to use spiteful and Spiteful is a great thing for ranges, because they can position better and let healers to have more room to heal melee range.

So I think it is all about positioning and not stats much. I think Spiteful+pounding gives more dps than Spiteful+forceful or Bitter+Forceful.
