Well no $H%t majority wins, just like how majority won with trump. Its not good but it happens.

How does this change grinding, exactly?

You'll be getting your VM mats from boxes rather than buying them directly. You wont have a cap on weekly boxes (as far as i know) like we do on credits, so you can at least grind on the same toon all week if you want. And now you can get superior etchings and stuff from FWC boxes. Plus if rewards aren't dependent on KDA, it's slightly more incentive for people to stay on objectives like ladders in CS.

Why is this a bad change?

Think because some people farm to get the smart dyads and some mats to craft conflate still for Open World PvP.

I agree. I'm actually looking forward to the change.

So now instead of farming dyads and conflate mats, you can farm superior etchings and VM9 mats.

I still dont see the big deal x:

My questions to this upcoming change is...

How will you earn Enchanting Bonanza Boxes? (this is a good source of gold when sold)
How will you earn Resizing Kits? (other from dungeons, this is also a good source of gold when sold)
What will happen to the PVP costumes? (these have been here for a long time)
  • Bonanza boxes do not exist in ktera. More than likely they will not in NA after patch
  • whines about grinding in an mmorpg............people are wonderful creatures sometimes
  • @cloud3431 not everybody has the time to grind and waste a lot of time on a game.

that's the entire point of an mmorpg though
  • Is this in today's update? Should I have spent all of my credits yesterday?

PvP costumes will sadly have to go most likely.

Now, you actually have to do PvP battlegrounds to get stuff, it used to be that players could just opt for the easy route of Kumas to get credits to get gear, but it meant that the actual PvP grounds get no share.

With this change, players actually would want to do CS and FWC, both of which give a good amount of rewards, albeit said reward is largely RNG now :/.

Hopefully power hour will give double boxes on win (and double ticket on loss). I really think this is "more balanced" than the credits idea.

If anything I see this as a buff to PvP rewards than a nerf in any case.

What my concern is what's inside the boxes... when you look at the fan-translated patch notes, it says "Other Combat Supplies"; this could mean anything from safe haven scrolls, scrolls of resurrection or even prime battle solutions... I haven't seen it hand out food or any other combat supply, and it's not listed with "Arcane Supplies" either. I've accepted receiving PVP and PVE materials as a reward, but for people like myself, it doesn't really benefit anything we do. Hopefully a lot of these materials will be sell-able, or at least have these combat supplies give a chance for a rare item.

However, I do agree that this is a positive change for PVE and PVP players to make it much easier, as there would be even more ways to get your VM materials and etchings. I know that there isn't many rare items in the Bellicarium & Killing Spree credit store, but I hope that En Masse will make the Victory Box have that little something extra, just like how it was before back in 2013.

Other from that, I don't mind the RNG quality of the box... I like surprises.
