    i used to main archer and It does really great and that was way before the buffs. sadly though, I quit using it after our patch this past fall where they removed campfires, charms, and crafting potions. yeah I know that you can " buy " the potions and stuff from merchants, but those scrolls that took so much damage for you were very good to have. so now I main mystic. decent damage and you can heal yourself. funny thing is, I tried mystic like 3 years ago and hated how slow it was ( I was maining archer at the time ) and deleted mystic.
    ive tried reaper and gunner. I didn't care much for either. I think gunner is way slower than archer. ninja is fast and fun, but again, no heals.
    all I can say is try different classes that you think you might be interested in, and go from there. you can get so many different opinions here on what to use, but at the end of the day, its all in what you like. but whichever you choose, the real test is the island of dawn bams. if you cant beat them easily, then delete and try a new class. I know it sounds harsh, but you don't want to struggle, and you don't want an unused class sitting in your select screen taking up space that a farming alt could be using.

    They both function the same (holding a button down), only difference is one allows you to move and the damage is applied at once and the other doesn't let you move and the damage is over a period. Obviously the one that prevents you from moving is less safe than the one that lets you move.

    I'd probably go with Archers, even though I don't main one. I can tell they're broken and simple when they're the only DPS class that raids consider acceptable to do Harrowhold Phase 4 that could pass even in Guile weapon.

    Easiest to do damage: Archer uncontested. You only have to know half the mechanics of any dungeon because its a ranged class. Spam your charges, RoA, etc and you'll likely pull high dps.

    Easiest classes: Brawler, Gunner, spacebar Reaper. Limited amount of skill rotations, easy execution/survivability. Note that I said spacebar Reaper because there is still a difference from a regular reaper. Aside from the obvious skill utilizations, you can't really tell a reaper is spacebarring until they jump. Their damage isn't slayer/gunner tier with spacebar only so theres that.

    Spacebar reaper is not even close to a high skill reaper...you can tell if they are spacebar off the first rotation as well~
