the date was 4th of april at least for me it said so. i can't find any information!

    it releases on the 11th (just announced today) but yeah, up until maintenance our name reservation thing on the character page said we could make it on the 4th....kinda sucks

    It was not the 4th. It was never the 4th. The day they made the announcement they even came onto the forums and said "Just because the name reservation ends on the 4th, doesn't mean it's the 4th; that's just the earliest possible time."

    They never ever ever ever said it was the 4th.

    It would have been nice if they would have made an announcement on the launcher. I've gotten all ready to lvl my new valkyrie today, and then its a dam no-show. Whats the big idea? I know sometimes stuff happens and things get delayed. But how about being honest about it, instead of just pretending that it's been planned for the 11th all along.

    the date WAS NEVER THE 4TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    The 4th was for when the NAME RESERVATION EVENT ENDS and you can CREATE THE CHARACTER WITH THE RESERVATED NAME
    This character =/= Valkyrie....English is a fun language isn't it :p

    Really, this reservation event was in lieu of the Valkyrie. It was assumed thanks to that Valkyrie would be released today.

    Just blame EME for their poor choice in words, got everyone's hopes up.

    Spacecats said on stream 2 weeks ago that Valkyrie was NOT coming out on the 4th.

    i took a screen shot and it did say the 4th even had a lovely pic of the new class and everything....all in all....this was very misleading and VERY unprofessional in my opinion....

    You reserved you name for YOUR NEXT NEW CHARACTER....does it say Valkyrie? no
    Valkyrie comes out within the timeframe of the reservation event so you CAN use it for Valkyrie when it releases...or you can make another character with the reserved name
    It never once said valkyrie...it just used it as a promo image cause it comes out during the timeframe....Stop saying we were promised it today...cause it was not...AND WE HAD MULTIPLE OCCASSIONS BY STAFF SAYING ITS NOT the 4th....

    You can't create a char without selecting it's class. Your argument is invalid.

    The point is you can use the reserved name to create whatever class you want, not just Valkyries. Obviously the reason for the reservation campaign was related to the new class, but it's not explicitly tied to it.

    Anyway, obviously it would have been simpler if they could have aligned the two dates to avoid this confusion, but they already explained why they had to set this date as the earliest-possible to avoid trouble. It's unfortunate that it worked out this way.
