To be honest I don't think you've seen sessh and arnetra duel enough if you've come to the conclusion that it's fair. He's still able to win but it's so much more effort and probably twice out of the 50 duels they spammed he won. Needless to say you can't just say he needs to "git gud". It's just ignorant at that point. The only instance EVER I've seen zerk win vs a decent gunner was soaria running full regen build d stance just to outheal gunner's damage.
Want proof they are balancing the game for talents? Look no further than the mobility creep within ranged classes.
One of the biggest buffs in the talent system is every melee class gains a f**kton of movement speed for using certain skills. Some of the ranged classes get a little of this too, but it doesn't come close to what melee classes get ( Zerks gain 7+1 per talent lvl movement speed EVERY TIME THEY USE THUNDERSTRIKE LOLOL ) . So now with melee classes constantly in your face, BHS has been lowering the cooldowns of escape/kiting skills of ranged classes to deal with this.
The archers revamp dash skill is the smoking gun that proves BHS Is doing this. Archers absolutely did not need and honestly should not have a dash that works in PvP. I can now [filtered] on Zerkers - actual good zerkers from PvP guilds, with my fulminate archer that I almost never play. In Ktera, it makes sense for this skill to exist. Outside of Ktera, it absolutely does not.
Backstab carry doesn't apply to slayer because it isn't a stun. Slayers aren't guaranteed a combo if backstab lands. You can literally block everything a slayer does after backstab and you can stagger a slayer at the end of the animation which totally shuts them down (I do this all the time). My job is hard enough as is trying to set up a combo and having multiple backstab opportunities, if I miss, is nice. The amount of skill needed to be a good slayer is already tremendous. But w.e slayer garbage classxdddddd.
Personally I think most ppl here just look at the small portion of the frame without seeing the whole picture. I said at the start of this thread, balance is kind of a wobbly topic. You can have unbalance in a game then have the community create rules that balance that out(ex: lancers can't use Rally, Gunner can't use BV). Or have a decently balanced game that seems completely outta wack. Personally i think the latter.
And concerning gunner balancing, Idk @-@ gunners are really predictable and slow. I've never played a melee class but i've seen other people play them and they do quite well against top notch gunners. (ex: Blur vs robbie (FF) Personally, i see no reason to complain about something that will never be "fixed" and just learn to adapt. As I said before, some classes just beat other classes at basic levels of pvp. Higher up the balancing issues become transparent and classes are much easier to play against. (For example, In mortal kombat there's a character called Jason that can do crippling damage in very few hits. The character is GOD if your new to the game and fighting a jason, but in world class tournaments you see the best jasons in the world get taken out from "[filtered] tier" characters)
