  • Could you provide a bit more information about what antivirus you're using and what the exact error message you're getting is?

This was an old issue with Windows Defender, it also lead to unplayable FPS and horrible ping.

The simple fix is to add an exception to TERA on the antivirus, or turn it off when playing TERA, as, well, TERA is not a malicious program unless you count killing your time and maybe money on EMP a malicious software
  • Do you have AVG? Mine has been sending me false positive warnings about Tera for the last two days. This has happened before with AVG. It's not as good a program as it used to be. You can add Tera as an exception in AVG's options or just wait for the patch next Tuesday which will probably resolve the issue.

Stopping using an antivirus will make you more happy.

Those software is just scam, I have been using my pcs and laptops without using them since Windows Vista and never had a problem.

McAfee and Norton only make your PC slower and most of the AV are the same s-h*i/t.

Would be better to refrain to be browsing pervy stuff on internet, that will do the trick when you get rid of antivirus.

false positive, launcher behavior can look like a trojan downloader. best option when gaming, and may only apply to avast is to disable AV modules and scanning until you want them on again. avast allows it through it's right click. also can speed up some games potentially as every time somethings loaded into ram/page file or extracted (like game assets) AV modules will scan for threats. some include active network scanning which for obvious reasons can slow traffic.

Hi there as somebody who used to do shady things I can assure you of a few things.

    1. Your AV is going to detect things as a virus that are in fact not a virus.
    2. Your AV is NOT going to detect things as a virus that are in fact a virus.
    3. Your AV is very likely wasting your resources.

I do not know what your specific issue is but something to consider. If you do keep your AV I hope you can find the issue.
