Guys, this thread isn't about +15 being common or.. anything like that. You're derailing xD.

Truth be told, I don't mind even if I get nothing as a reward for playing an OP class. Because the class is straight up OP to begin with. If you have difficulty advancing to even guile through normal advancement, you don't deserve Imperator.

Not giving VM also opens up more reasons to actually grind for gear. Sure you can say Imperator value has been severely devalued by now, but nowadays many people don't farm for current VM, but stick to the VM right before it due to its ease of obtaining till the next patch. By giving Imperator, I will honestly just hold onto the Imperator and not play till the next dungeon update comes, since mats are so cheap any efficient player would be smart enough to start buying out the market for next patch.

I think this is honestly why, and generally speaking seems like a smarter strategy on the whole. Maybe they could have done the next tier up like RU, but going all the way as EU did seems a bit counterproductive, as it provides a lot less for the level 65 players to do. But because in the EU that prize is only available if level within the first three weeks, I suppose maybe they are hoping that maybe people will create multiple new characters during the window (more characters = more cash shop sales). I guess it also increases the pool of people who can jump right into the new dungeons when they come out in a few weeks. But on the whole, it seems like a riskier strategy since it undermines endgame progression right at the time when you have a surge in players.
