I left Tera in like October. I was already behind when I left then (as my last time of active playing was like may 2016).

I left because cs was dead (which was my fav thing to do at the time) and I got hella behind on the gear grind for pve/pvp (which is just a personal issue cuz of work - no hate on ppl who have the time to accomplish full BiS sets).

So I'm several sets behind in gear prob. But like outside of that what's it like in Tera now a days? Is the economy still a mess? Is cs still dead? Is the playerbase still dwindling away on TR? Should I bother coming back? Help friends idk what to do

    The PvE side will be more lively with the release of the new class and subsequent dungeons/gear to follow. But I don't know that they've really done anything in particular that will totally revive interest in PvP. What made CS pop so much in the past was the fact that it was open to leveling players, but as a level 65 battleground it really depends on the rewards what people want to queue. They do have Power Hours scheduled daily now, but it rotates through the various battlegrounds; a different one each day.

    But in any case, if you're interested in trying the new class, there's no harm in trying it anyway. But probably it won't solve all your concerns.

    don't do cs and arnt on TR either and anyways my view on the situation may be different to how others may see it
    but can say I still come to tera to escape other things (when I get time to due to work as well) and enjoy the change blowing off steam and doing different things in game
